Our existing ceramic hob lost it's marbles and then gave up the ghost completely one morning! So I had to do something quick if I wanted hot porridge. Where does one go in North Devon if you haven't the time or inclination to jump in the car and travel miles to find a replacement hob (or anything else)? Amazon to the rescue as always! I envisaged paying several hundred pounds for a new hob - but no - Amazon advertised this unknown name of Gionein (at least unknown to me) ceramic hob for less than £100, free delivery. I read the reviews (always so useful) and decided to give it a go. Well it came on time, well packed, looking very smart and business like (for a ceramic hob). Fitting was almost a doddle, since I had fitted the original several years ago. Just one minor problem I encountered - the tabs on the end of the feed lead were flattened rather than round which meant they didn't fit in the junction box terminals too well resulting in the screws tilting side ways - not really desirable considering the high currant drain needed if four plates are in use at one time! May I please suggest that when purchasing a replacement hob you purchase a new 30 amp junction box at the same time, if that's what your hob will be connected to. In use the Gionien ceramic hob is easy to use, clean, and very effective - the "boss" is well pleased and that being so is the highest recommendation possible. Thank you Gionien for an excellent product and Amazon for marketing it with such excellent service.

Very good value for money and nice to have a clean sweep uncluttered by controls when cleaning.

I did a lot of research and this one kept on popping up in the reviews and for the cost, it was worth a try its easy to install, simple instructions - two issues that i noticed - the connecting cable is short, too short IMO, we had to change it for a longer one to get to the cooker socket, its easy to change and your electrician can do it but it will cost you. The other issue / observation is that the whole hob gets hot when using several of the rings, maybe is normal and looking on line, it seems to be with most hobs, I just hadnt experienced it on my old hob (which was part of freestanding range) overall pleased with it and its value

So far so good, already used for two weeks, easy to use and not much problems, the only issue is the timer not displayed directly, but buy with this price , I can’t complain it

Bought this in May 2025 and by August it started playing up. First one of the digits disappeared now in November 3 of the diplay lights are disappearing. The two large plates are dimming away and don't heat up when required. Plus very annoying as any time an item covers display it rings an alarm. Over all terrible item. Can't even get a refund. Wasted money and time. Now have to pay for a new one. 0 rating.

Good quality and value nice looking

Very happy with purchase, straight forwards hob, no fancy features, just a basic hob, which was exactly what I wanted. Easy to use and install, comes with instruction booklet and a scraper for any nasty spills. And the price, under £100 now what more could you ask. Why did I need one, well I was drying a cup, dropped it and cracked my old hob from one end to the other, so I required a replacement fast, this arrived in under 24 hours. That I feel was excellent service, more so at this moment in time when we are all having to stay indoors..

It’s a lovely hob looks pretty & cooks well easily cleaned. Has a great safety feature. The only problem is..I struggle to get it to turn on 😩 which is a bit annoying at times. It could just be faulty button hence only 4stars overall this is a nice hob & i would recommend.
