These are not bad for the money. The knobs lack any kind of precision and the sensitivity knob doesn’t seem to do anything at all. They do get loud and the tone knob works great. The main reason I ended up returning them is the fact that when you are fishing a lake with a steep bank and your rods are pointed up, your line won’t actually touch the wheel inside the alarm unless you hang a bobbin behind the alarm. But for basic average lake fishing, these are perfectly usable. If you’re serious about carp fishing and find yourself in a wide variety of situations, it’s worth saving up for something like a set of Fox Mini Micron X’s with receiver.

We bought these to keep an eye on our catfish rods when we get busy doing other activities. The alarm works much better than expected. You can adjust the sensitivity so there are not false alarms. We have easily increased our production by 50% since this addition.

This product works as advertised. I was able to be present with my family while on vacation in the warmth of a lakehouse - eating, drinking, playing with the kid and dog - all the while never missing a bite in the pitch black of night, through rain and cold. I'll be using this from now on even when I fish alone. Well worth the small price. FYI, you'll need a stand of some sort. I only wish there was a way to secure it directly to the rod. I think I'll rig something up.

Doing a lot of fishing these come in handy Sensitive enough to detect the bite but still accurate enough not to beep every time the wind blows when using a be alarm you want something right in the middle not too sensitive but just enough not to let a bite go by

I’ve taken these out a few times and haven’t had any problems. The wireless receiver works great and you can’t get a set of three alarms with a receiver for any cheaper than these.
