PICKET FENCES-TATORT GART - MO [DVD]

David E Kelley gave the diamond of his shows to his trust worthy assistants. They couldn't raise the caliber of the show. Additionally the last episode is silent in its English mode.Still and all a great series. Possibly the best series ever shown on TV.

Picket Fences is one of the best TV series ever made. The story lines are unique and told with mix of humor and drama that makes topical issues revealed and interesting from new points of view. Judge Henry Bone, (Ray Walston) is superb and his judicial pronouncements are worth remembering. The family dynamics of all the characters is absorbing, especially the coming of age of the female daughter, Kimberly Brock. It does not pay to be the mayor of Rome Wisconsin, until they put in the most unlikely mayor, a former felon, Marlee Matlin, who brings a new spirit to the town. Race, religion, justice, Native American rights, right to die, women's rights, homelessness and more are all skillfully "debated" in story lines. Tom Skerritt, Cathy Baker, Don Cheadle, Holly Marie Combs, Ray Walston and the enigmatic Fyvush Finkel are just the tip of the acting talent in this great show.

I have the first season, but the second season has many surprises. Can't wait to finish this one and move on to season 3. Excellent to and collection.

Love this show and am so happy all the seasons have finally been released.

some of the discs are the original 4:3 screen format and 1 disc is a very poor 16:9cropped format. Sloppy.

Ja der Satz stammt tatsächlich aus einer Episode der 3. Staffel und er ist nicht ironisch gemeint ^^ Man merkt, dass sehr viele von David E. Kelleys nachfolgenden Serien von Picket Fences inspiriert wurden.Man hatte hier Medizin-, Justiz- und Schuldrama gemischt mit Komödie in einem. In späteren Jahren erschuf Kelley eine Ärzteserie- Chicago Hope, eine Justizserie- The Practice und ein Highschooldrama- Boston Public. Die Wahnsinnigkeiten von Picket Fences wurden schließlich in Ally McBeal auf den Höhepunkt getrieben.Aber nun zurück zum Thema: Die 3. Staffel von Picket Fences war auf jeden Fall der kreative Höhepunkt der Serie und ich bin froh, dass wir dieses Fernsehjuwel endlich komplett auf DVD bekommen. Wer auf skurrile Serien die gerne auch einmal einen ernsteren Ton anschlagen steht kann bei Picket Fences eigentlich nichts falsch machen.

Es sind einfach wunderbar skurrile Geschichten mit grandiosen Schauspielern und herrlichem Humor. Da geht mir immer wieder das Herz auf. Danke, das es endlich erschienen ist.

Super Serie, nachdenklich, komisch und sehr unterhaltsam. Wir haben und diese Serie schon vor 25 Jahren angeschaut. Sie wurde leider im Fernsehen nicht wiederholt. Haben uns gefreut ,als diese jetzt auf DVD rauskam.
