AQUAVIVA Freshwater Aquarium White & Blue Dimmable 36W LED Light Fixture w/ Remote Control & Adjustable Arms

I bought 2 - 36" for 125 gal tank, I considered one 48" but wanted full coverage for 72" tank. Very pleased with purchase so far, they look great and seem to be good quality. My only complaint is that I wish the remotes could be synced to each light as right now one remote controls both, it would be nice to control each each light independently, but not really a big deal, considering remote is only way to control (no Manual switch) so I have a spare remote in case one breaks or gets lost! There is a work around if I want the lights to be on different color or brightness, just cover up one lights receiver with hand and then set other light to desired setting, then cover up other receiver and do the same, this is pain to do but does make it possible to control them separately. For the low price these lights are worth it!

This light does exactly what I expected it to do. It's cheap and super bright. I've got Amazon Frogbit growing fast under this light along with what I think is a Crypt plant that wasn't growing with my old light but has started getting bigger already. People aren't kidding when they say instructions were sparse. There weren't any on how to operate the light. Just the safety stuff (hey if it falls in the tank don't touch it!). The remote works fine as well.

This covers is 48" long and has legs that come out so it can sit flush with the top of your tank. Like a lot of the other reviews state the remote is difficult. After messing around with it for half hour I got the gist. Mine the on/off buttons needed to be worked in to work. The buttons for the different light settings don't seem to work but there is a resume button that seems to switch between the settings for me. The light is fantastic but the remote brings the rating down(seeing it is the only way to turn it on and off).

2/10/17 Update...received new remote which works perfectly! 5 Stars for customer service. Very nice and bright lighting system. Allows user to set their own brightness at 4 different levels. If if were not for the flaky remote, which does not allow the battery compartment to open due to the tab breaking off, It would receive 5 stars. However, AQUAVIVA customer service gets 5 stars for providing quick replacement of 2 broken remote controls.

Purchased this product in February 2017. No instructions or paperwork to go with the light. Luckily set up is fairly straightforward. I thought the price was reasonable for LED aquarium lighting and I was glad it came with a 1 year warranty. It's now July 2nd (not even 5 months of use) and the unit won't turn on. I checked the remote and replaced the batteries. Still doesn't work. Try to contact them to get a replacement. But how? I got absolutely no paperwork and there's no telephone number listed. I reached out to Amazon to see if they had any idea of how to get ahold of the seller but still haven't heard anything back.

The light fits well on the tank and the 3 different light modes is nice. My tank is under a bookshelf and the slim design fits perfectly under the shelf. The remote also has options to store 4 favorite "scene" selections; however, these are for the brightness of the light only and not for brightness and mode. For instance, if you have the blue led's only on and save the scene at 60% brightness, you cannot press that particular "scene" button when the light is on white only at 100% power and make it automatically change to the blue lights at 60% power. It merely drops the current all white setting to 60% power. Also, you have to cycle through the color settings - you cant jump directly from white/blue to just blue. The thing that worries me the most is there doesn't appear to be any way to turn the lights on/off or cycle through the modes without the remote. So if you happen to lose the remote or wear out the buttons, the light becomes useless.

I have this light on my 55 gallon tank, have had it for about 2 months, and it works great. My remote worked perfectly so they must have fixed that problem (that was the only skepticism I had) I love the dimmer, and the 3 different light options, White, Yellowish, and Blue. I use the Yellow option because it looks more natural to me during the day, and I use the blue from sunset until I go to bed then they're fully off. Very pleased with my purchase, if mine breaks I'll more than likely buy this light again.

This light is a great value for the price, not sure why all the negative reviews. Lights up my tank great and the remote took 2 minutes to figure out without reading the manual. My tank looks like a million bucks and you can't beat the price.
