Maine Garden Hod

I grow my vegetables in large pots in my front yard. This hod is perfect for when I harvest my kale and cabbage and tomatoes and cucumbers. It's much larger than the small basket I used to use and this one is well made. Because it is made of wire mesh, it makes rinsing the vegetables while in it very easy.

Wanted a basket for gathering up vegetables etc from the garden. This lets the vegetables breathe and also allows dirt to fall off (from potatoes or carrots etc). Easy to hold.The plastic mesh does smell a little when first opened up but that quickly goes away.

It holds a lot of zuks and summer squash and is easy to carry

Great little basket. I considered making one myself for my wife, but figured in the interest of time I would buy this one at what I felt was a very reasonable price. Ends look like pine and handle looks like maple to me. Handle is simply glued into a hole in the ends with a single brad nail on each end. If this were to come loose or break I think a repair would be easy. Wire mesh bottom is coated to make you feel good about rinsing off in the basket. The whole basket is sturdy and very light.

I’ve gardened for years (Oklahoma) and I have a big garden. This is a MUST-have! It is well built, sturdy and so handy!! It makes carrying the vegetables to and from the garden much easier and also RINSING them in the basket.

I'm an avid gardener and I bought this for myself. It is very sturdy and very well made. It is very comfortable to carry and while it's deep enough for most vegetables, it's not so deep that items get stacked too high. It won't hold my big broccoli or cabbage but I don't consider that a big drawback. I really like being able to rinse vegetables outside and bring them in the house in this beautiful garden hod. I have been using this for about 3 months now and it easily rinses clean and still looks like new.
