This product needs a complete overhaul
Seeing that this Kooboard is situated around $800 price point I knew I was probably getting a product that was subpar to the premium Evolve and Boosted eBoards which can easily cost double the price of this board but I’m currently unable to fork over the high price tag for those premium boards. Upon receiving the product and unboxing it I was rather surprised at the design and what seemed like really good quality materials. This board game with two swappable batteries and the batteries could be charged while connected to the board and also separately from the board there was an adapter included for the power supply. I initially noticed one of the drive wheels for the hub motors had a screw that was completely stripped out also one of the batteries in the connection area had a screw as well that was completely stripped out and fell out. The other battery had something loose in it that was rattling around like a small piece of solder or something I’m not sure but noticing these failed overlooked quality control checks which the manufacture didn’t catch and was a bit alarming just as an initial impression as I’m opening my brand new product in which I planned on using for my commute daily to work wasn’t very reassuring for my initial unboxing nor was it very good for concerns about safety while riding this board. I wrote the board every day for two weeks I live in a somewhat hilly area so I was able to get about three or so miles per battery and that was in the slower Eco mode I guess you would call it. At eight days in one of the hub motors started to fail. Once it had started to fail it constantly made a bit of a rattling noise. I believe what happened was in cruising and hitting a joint in a sidewalk it probably broke a magnet inside one of the hub motors but that’s just speculation due to there being no shock absorber from the pavement to the motors which leads me too the feel of the ride on this board is very stiff and you feel every bump or crack the only redeeming Factor is that the wheels are very large so you can go over pretty big cracks in the road or sidewalk but again you will feel everything. By the end of the two weeks both batteries terminal connections to the board while removing the batteries to swap the connections pulled out of the battery cases exposing wires. This caused both batteries to eventually short and spark and start smoking while being used in the board. It was time for this board to be returned so I contacted Amazon and explain to them about needing to return the board and it was no problem but I also mentioned about the battery issue which it clearly states in the return process there being a dangerous lithium battery warning and the reps at Amazon told me to just put the batteries with everything else back in the boxes to be shipped back to them and that was three separate times that I called and informed them about the battery issue just to be sure but they still said to ship them batteries with the unit. Knowing how dangerous these batteries can be I refuse to put them in the box as they pose a danger in the shipment process. I think Amazons reps should be trained more in this area due to the safety concerns. I really hope the batteries not being included in my return doesn’t present an issue for my refund but if it does I’ll take further steps. All in all KooBoard put in a good effort but it falls way short in many ways but with some attention in certain areas and a full overhaul of their quality control department I believe their next generation of boards could be something really competitive with the top-tier boards

Dangerous
Had this board for less than 24hrs when the first issue happened. I took the board for a test ride of about 8 minutes and the rear back wheel got unscrewed. I walked back home, tighten it up and went out again for another test ride. This time I took the board to Coney Island Board walk and hell broke loose. Only a few minutes into my ride the same wheel (right back) came loose and I fell, hitting my shoulder and lower back really hard. The board flew into an empty lot right by the park, in between some trailers and the board walk. Since I have the best luck ever, the lot has no one in it, no phone number, no nothing. I have reached out to Amazon and have received absolutely no help. I'll also be reaching out to the seller again and update my review if anything changes. For now, all I can say is DO NOT BUY this product. It is dangerous and apparently there's no customer service. I have attached a photo of the wheel after the first test ride and before the accident. This weekend I'll update the review with photos of it laying in the the lot. Really bad experience overall. I big waste of my money

Better than expected
First I have not had the problems that others have had but do inspect your boards. Second I did order the board when it was on Lightning Deal $110 off. I rode skateboards as a kid more for transportation, could not do any tricks, then the bike took over. Like many I saw Casey Neistat then Sam Shaffer finally Press Restart (who actually reviewed this board) and thought electric skateboard would be fun and useful. I ordered Blitzart Hurricane first then returned it the next day. I wanted a Wowgo 2s but ordering from China presented a few problems, how long, what if I needed support and needed to return it. So I decided on this board and have been mostly happy. Changing the battery is a pain, the felt coating moves, bunches up and come off in the battery compartment. Also the rubber guard comes off easy but solved that with Velcro and used the rest to keep the philips in the skate tool. I have been riding it for over a week and have been getting better on it, doesn’t carve easy but is manageable.

Half price, same fun
What I like it most are the price and quality, Koowheel did a really good job on the performance, the speed, the connections, and the replaceable PU wheels, no need to worry the wearing out as I am a heavy user of an Electric Skateboard.Overall, you spend only half of the price, but you get a Electric skateboard as good as Boosted board, worth it

Just so much fun, especially if you are into surfing
Just so much fun, especially if you are into surfing, snowboarding or longboarding. Expert seems to push my weight easily up 20% inclined hills!!! Best purchase I've made in years! The board is well engineered, reliable, durable and new remoter works great. I also recommend to get cycling gloves to protect your palms, beside a helmet of course.

This is an excellent board
This is an excellent board very quick acceleration and the braking is very smooth. The battery life is as advertised. I had a minor issue with the remote where the battery indicator light was not displaying. I contacted customer service and a replacement was sent immediately. What more can I say about this board great features and great customer services.

Why pay more when you can have awesome for less?
I have had this board for almost a year now and it has been a total blast. When riding with friends that have Boosted boards, they are jealous that I can quick swap my batteries for a longer ride. This cost half what they paid for their boards and it works every bit as good. My only recommendation is to check the snugness of the rear wheel bolts when it arrives. I had a wheel come loose and I lost all the bolts because they weren't tight. My bad. Luckily, you can get the exact size replacement bolt from the specialty bolts area at Home Depot.
