I use this with a gel pack inside. A God send otherwise I wouldn't be able to sit at all.

This isn't waterproof at all. It's more water-resistant, and even then barely so. The material is a thin, jacket-like fabric that repels droplets but won't stop any water from leaking through if it comes into contact with anything actually damp or splashes, let alone bodies of water. And it wasn't even leaking only at the zipper - it was all over. It doesn't take very much water to make it through the material.I suppose if you're using this not because its water proof but because its more resistant to staining or occasional accidents vs the original... sure. But the cheap material they use is completely worthless for "waterproofing". Not suitable at all for using outdoors in occasional weather, for any kind of boating, for showers, etc.

I like that this replacement cover is waterproof.
