this is a good one for beginners
I have not tried other machines but this one is so-far-so-good. it has 4 functions: topspin, back spin, oscillating, frequency. and the price is about right

Best $200 I've ever spent
This table tennis (ping pong) robot is a winner. Worked perfectly first try. Nice that it comes with 100 balls so you're ready to go right away. The angle and speed are adjustable to suit players of almost any skill level. The (wired) remote is easy to use. I've practiced backhand, forehand, backspin, topspin, sidespin, loop, service return, even some trick shots. You can get hundreds of practice shots in an hour. Unless you're already a pro you'll see improvement in your shots the first day. I haven't tried every possible setting, it's only been a few days, but I've already spent hours with it. Minor comments: the oscillating feature spreads too wide (some balls miss the table) and the mount didn't fit my table (instead the machine sits on the table). Also, a catch net is essential. My highest recommendation.

Affordable cost, but you won't get everything you need.
overall it is ok. it is at a lower price comparatively. What i don't like is first of all, unlike robo-pong which has 5 or 6 frequency levels, this product has only a dial for it, which makes it harder to remember your favorite position. the speed control is another that I don't prefer. So far i've not figured out the dial for different spins. It looks to me that it is not as straight forward as robo-pong products.

Works great! Much better and cheaper than Newgy 1040 I previously bought. I have used this robot for almost 1 week and never had ball stuck so far. I previously used Newgy 1040, and the ball got stuck very frequently (had the machine jammed almost every 5 mins).
