Love it, but...
Overall, they do a good job with these books, and for sure you get a lot of full color pages with a lot of reading content. There is no way I would want to ready this all to my son in one sitting, but these are neat books when you learn how to use them right. What I do is lightly skim through the pages until my son or I notice something that might be curious for him to learn about in particular. This book has a scientific quality to it that can be just a touch visceral for my 3yo, at times, but as much as I cringe wondering if he is ready to know about all the slimey crawly weird little scientific things in this world, it seems to pour usable information into his brain. I think what impresses me the most with this book is how wide they cast the net in terms of the appropriate age. I mean, this should be over my son's head ay 3yo, but it is not, and yet I could honestly picture him learning things from this book for many years, as concepts gain clarity in his mind to help other things make sense, etc.

A Curious Little Mind LOVES National Geographic's 'Why' Book.
😍 OMG, I'm so excited to share my review of the National Geographic First Big Book of Why with you! 🌟 I got this for my little Anthony, who's 10 (wait, I mean, he's actually 3... _ahem_ my bad, brain's got multiple kids on the go 😅), and let me tell you, it's been a GAME CHANGER for us! 🤩 As an Early Childhood Educator and a mom of a little one with ASD, I was looking for something that would spark his curiosity and love for learning. And, honey, this book DELIVERS! 📚💡 The "why" questions are answered in a way that's perfect for little ones, with awesome pictures and fun facts that keep him engaged for hours! 🤓 Anthony loves exploring and asking "why?" about everything, and this book is like a treasure trove of answers! We've had some amazing conversations about science, nature, and the world around us. It's become our go-to for quiet time, and I love seeing his little brain working overtime 🧠💡. The illustrations are stunning, and the layout is so kid-friendly. He's obsessed with the pictures, and I'm obsessed with how much he's learning! 😂 If you're looking for a gift for a curious little one, or just want to spark some curiosity at home, this book is a MUST-HAVE! 🌟 Trust me, you won't regret it! 💯 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5 stars from us!)

Great book
Awesome book, with loads of pictures and accompanying explanations. My three year olddoesnt understand much but she is starting to understand why her skin wrinkles when she is in water for long or why her hair is curly and stuff. Update: She is 6 and half now and still remains one of her favourite books.
