Miusco Shaving Razor & Brush Stand with Soap Bowl Set, Compatible with Manual Razor, Gillette Razor and Most Other Razors

I was looking for a sturdy stand to hold my Merkur 34C razor and shaving brush. This little set fits the bill. The razor fits nicely on one side, and the shaving brush slides in on the other.You probably don't want a knot size more than 24mm, as even that can catch some hairs on the brush as it is slid into the holder. For reference, my shaving brush is on the larger side with a 50mm loft, 50mm handle, 35mm handle width and 24mm knot. The lathering bowl is smallish (about the same diameter as a coffee cup) but big enough to build up a lather, albeit with some inevitable sloshing over the side.Overall I'm satisfied. The construction of the set and bowl doesn't feel flimsy or cheap, neither have exhibited any rust and looks good.

After ordering this, I had second thoughts and decided to cancel the order. I was too late to do so, and I'm really glad about that. I had thought that this set could not be really good quality for the price, but how wrong I was! It's well made, heavy and looks and feels top notch.

Storing shaving equipment

Well made and does the job, my only dislike is the bowl which would be if it was deeper and larger in diameter. Thus would reduce the overspill of the shaving foam whilst mixing.

Works

After living with this stand for a couple of weeks I am a bit disappointed with it.First the pros:It looks good, better IMO than some of the ‘wire frame’ alternatives. It has a nice smooth chrome finish and the base has some weight to it, so it’s not going to tip over if knocked.But…On mine the vertical support rod isn’t quite vertical and the horizontal holder isn’t quite horizontal, which makes it look a bit thrown together with little attention to detail or QC – i.e. like a typical Chinese product. The brush holder is too small for a 26mm knot, so we’re talking 24mm max and since it’s made of cast metal it can’t be ‘adjusted’ without fear of snapping.The razor holder is too small as well. It appears to be designed for a particular type/make of razor and the arms are not long enough to support most DE heads properly – the razor is just precariously balanced on the tip of the holder and is prone to slipping off. I ended up having to 3D print an extension piece which helps a lot but does rather spoil the look.Finally, the bowl is too small also (detect a theme here?). I have given up trying to make lather in mine as it just spills out around the rim and drips everywhere.In summary, for me it’s definitely a case of form over function; it looks good but just isn’t very practical for day-to-day use.

Bought as recommended (usually bought together) well try getting the shaving brush to slide into this holder. Takes a bloody big effort. Not happy with this product at all

Like the bright shiny look. Of course, the bowl is stainless steel, not chromed, so there is a slight visual difference difference with the stand, but I like using the set overall.

This is the same exact item that Muehle resells with their Rytmo combo sets for significantly higher price. The stand is excellent: the chroming seems very good , the arms are thick/sturdy and looks good. The bowl is merely decent - the metal could be much thicker.Pro:Excellent value. My 28mm Chubby brush cannot easily fit into the holder.The razor holder is somewhat large and loose for non Muehle Rytmo razors.Summary:Its an excellent buy at $20+. Its still a good buy at $40.

I have been using the Miusco shaving stand for almost a year now and am really happy with the product. It's solid and easy to clean. The bowl is not very large but it's enough for the way I use it. The handle of my shaving brush is a lot thicker than the holder so I had to adapt and place it so that the holder wraps around the base of the bristles.
