Spiral Coated Metal Dough Hook - Fits Kitchenaid Stand Mixer Bowl-Lift Models

This was a replacement for a really old Kitchen aid mixer's dough hook that rusted under the plastic coating after 30 years. This one works very well and keeps the dough from climbing out of the mixer better than the old one, however, when you start putting the ingredients in and the level is low in the bowl, it has a tendency to splash a bit more than the old one, so go slow at first. The Kitchen aid mixer has got to be the best mixer ever made! Any mixer that can plow through everything for over 30 years without a hiccup has my vote. We have never had an appliance last so long or give such good performance.

I have a Kitchenaid mixer that only came with a paddle. I needed a spiral attachment to knead dough for bread and noodles. I initially purchased a dough hook directly from Kitchenaid but was sorely disappointed. Thereafter, I purchased this one and used it countless times without experiencing any issues. No chipping, not rust, no cracking or breakage. It's made from good quality stainless steel and coated with a nonstick white gloss. I love this hook!

THIS dough hook is perfect and acts exactly like it should. I kneads the dough perfectly and keeps it moving in the bottom of the bowl. The original J shaped dough hook that came with my mixer is absolutely useless, it doesn't knead the dough, it just spins it around and up and out of the bowl, so this new one is a VAST improvement. Shipping was quick and the product was exactly as advertised.

Put everything I want to say in the title already. This hook makes it much easier than the original one. I would like to give it a 4.9 instead of 5.0 though because the coating has some minor issue, but not a big deal. Still love it!

I'm using this in my 30yo 5 KA. Puts noticeably more stress on the machine, but very pleased with the dough results.I melted a plastic gear making dough back around 15 years ago, after replacing it I've kept a hand on to make sure it doesn't get too warm. And the retarded doughs I make don't need as much kneading

It replaced a KitchenAid OEM part that was damaged by the dishwasher. You have to be careful about the coating. Don't put it in the dishwasher.

For preparing pizza dough, this accessory is far better than the dough hook that comes with the Kitchen Aid mixer. It’s gentle at mixer speed 2 but thoroughly mixes the ingredients. The covering is high quality and it’s a snap to clean. I enthusiastically recommend it.

Overall I liked the dough hook. Fit my kitchen aid mixer. Only thing there is small chip top of the hook. Nothing important but still shows me quality control not perfect
