Awesome cables!
I purchased a few of these to extend from my SSDs because reaching them was a pain to disconnect cables. They work great! I would rather have a small cable attached to my components to be plugging and unplugging main cables into than be plugging and unplugging from components and running a risk of bending a hard drive pin or connector or just plain wearing them out. Yes, I am a little obsessive about some things, but I have seen when the sata connection snaps off of a drive. Not very fun.

It Works!!
When I upgraded my PSU (Power Supply Unit), I had a problem. The cabling on the PSU was too short to reach my 2nd optical drive. I needed an extender to do the job and this one worked out perfectly. I doubt you could get an 8" reach from it but I only needed 2" so that was not an issue. I just connected the cabling to the extender and connected the extender to my 2nd optical drive. Everything now works as before with no problems at all, Nice! The seller is located in mainland China so you're avoiding the import middleman. Shipping takes about 2 weeks which isn't too bad considering. The seller responded to all communications within a day. Pleasant surprise!

Works perfectly for shucked drives
Much easier solution than taping over the 3.3v pin for a hard drive removed from an external enclosure.

Did not match photo or description
Instead of a SATA power extension with 5 wires to a single male SATA connection, I received a SATA power splitter with 4 wires for each male SATA connection. I now need order the part I want again, but this time it will come from a different seller. The ironic thing is that I wanted a SATA extension to replace an existing similar SATA splitter in order to get rid of the unused male connection and have the missing 3.3 volt line. Update: The seller saw my review and voluntarily refunded my money as a courtesy. I have amended this review and upgrated my rating to reflect this surprising good-will gesture.

Very handy if needed.
I needed this cable to allow an older ATX power supply to be used in the Silverstone ML03 HTPC case utilizing an SSD for the operating system and an HDD for file storage. This cable fit the bill perfectly as the drive placement in this case didn't allow the standard SATA power cable on the power supply to reach both drive connection points.

Arrived late, didn't use it.
Ordered this to use in a project I was working on. Luckily I didn't end up needing it because it took about 2 weeks longer to arrive than the rest of the parts I ordered. I suppose I'll just throw it in the drawer in case I need it later. I suppose this review is more in regard to the shipping time than the product itself, so I apologize for that. Shipping is pretty important when working on time-sensitive projects though.
