I have very thick, curly and frizzy textured hair, that needs straightening to look anything remotely reasonable. I use GHD straighteners but I travel a lot with work and I didn't want to have to keep unplugging my GHD's before I set off to work and wait for them to cool down so I can pack them, but netter did I want to have to spend a load of money for a spare set to take away on business trips, so thought I would give these a go.They are well packaged and look/feel well made - I am not interested in football, so the branding was not of any interest to me - but if you are into Manchester United then they would certainly appeal to you - even the storage bag carries their branding.The straighteners heat up quickly and were easy to use, you don't need to read the instructions as it is very intuitive to operate.They did a good job on my hair, they didn't glide quite as easily as my GHD's I felt, but they did straighten and smooth it to a good standard - I think if the plates were just a bit thinner then it might work on my hair a bit better, as I had to keep going over some of the shorter strands to make sure I got it all.I think they are good value for money, you get a heat mat and carry bag and I am pretty sure that if you didn't have straw like hair - like mine - then they would do as good a job as GHD's.I am pleased though - perfect for taking away on business trips, they can live in my suitcase.

I was quite surprised to see a product like this being sponsored by Manchester United, not because I think women aren't into football, but more because I couldn't see a relation between hair and beauty products and football... it just seems to be a bit of a cash in for the club really, but I guess if you are a fan, you won't really care. The branding aside, the curling wand itself does look very visually stylish in it's black and red colours.The curling wand has simple to use functions and heats up very quickly, which is great when you are in a hurry in the morning, but still want to get your hair done. It comes with a heat proof pouch and a heat proof glove, which is great, as it protects you from getting burnt... many curling wands do not come with a glove, so this is a nice addition.The curling wand has a conical shape to it, so that your curls look natural when formed, rather than just straight ringlets.There is a good length cable and it rotates, so you don't get in a tangle as you move it around your head.Overall, as stylish product, which is very good value for money.

This is a very stylish hair straightener, which stands out from others due to the Manchester United logo and colours.It has a number of great features, including the fact that the temperature can be adjusted, and hence can prove incredibly useful to someone with either sensitive hair or someone who does not want to strain their hair.My fiancee has got naturally curly hair and the straightener worked very well on her. She had to go for the max temperature, namely 230C. Shortly after styling her hair, she went out and she realised that her hair stood its ground so to speak in humid conditions. She did receive a lot of attention and some very nice comments about how nice she looked. One of them came from me!On the minus side, the outer plastic can get quite hot. Therefore, one has to be extremely careful where they place it, so they are not left with any marks on their furniture!All in all, a stylish piece of kit for the hair professionals!

I have a hair dryer and 6 years old straightener from this brand- super happy with itI thought this straightener will be a huge upgrade but unfortunately I am so disappointed.Does nice curls and waves but I struggled big time to make my hair perfectly straight.Took me about 20-30 min to straighten my hair where normally takes me 15 min max.My hair do not stay perfectly straight for long, design of this product it is very simple, somehow feels cheap in your hand, wouldn’t expect that from Remington!Heat pad included- again very small and just doesn't seem to be a quality one.After using this product my hair looks dry instead of healthy and shiny.Pluses are: the long cable, nice curls also locking systemAs a straightener did not pass my test at all.I am confused and not really happy with it.

These are pretty basic hair straighteners, giving a maximum temperature of 230. They heat up fairly quickly, and a status bar shows when they're up to the required temperature. I would have preferred an audiable alert to tell me when they're ready instead of having to watch the screen, but that is a minor point. In use the plates glide through the hair very easily and smoothly, to the point that it felt like it wasn't doing anything at all - very different to my previous straighteners where you could feel them tugging at the hair. Although branded with the Manchester United logo, its quite small, and you have to look quite closely to see it. All in all, these are more than capable of doing the job, but do not offer anything outstanding or innovative over the many other straighteners on the market.

Straighteners/curlers which Manchester United fans will love. They are good to look at red/gold/black, they have larger than average irons and they heat up in an instant (fully heated after 15 seconds to be precise). You choose between 3 different heat settings, as my hair is fairly fine I chose the lowest setting and it seemed right. You can curl your hair easily, I like to straighten my hair but did try a little curl as I am testing the straighteners, it was easy to do and looked like a proper curl. The only fault I can find is the price, to me they are overpriced but then they are Manchester United and an extremely good, well made straightener.
