Super Fast & Satisfactory Response
I purchased a 2-year protection plan for an under-the-desk treadmill . 3 months before the plan expired, do did the treadmill. I had to contact Asurion because I had no clue how to access it, and I had accidentally deleted the confirmation email. They very quickly provided all the information I needed to file a claim, which I did through Amazon via a link Asurion gave me. Literally 10 minutes later I had an email with directions for claiming an Amazon gift card refund for the entire purchase price (minus tax). I was actually hoping they would offer to fix the thing, because now I still have it but canโt use it, and I canโt use the money to purchase another one unless I get it from Amazon. But thatโs neither here nor there. Overall, Iโm thrilled with the response, and very happy I had bought the protection plan. 10 stars!!

Refunded me on an Amazon gift card instead of on my original payment method OR replacing my product
Asurion's service was horrible. I had an electric scooter that stopped working. First of all, I had to pay $30 to ship it to Asurion (they don't provide you a shipping label)--fine. They proceed to send the scooter back to me, and it is still nonfunctional, citing "couldn't find an issue". What kind of servicing sends back something without testing it out themselves? I let them know, they apologize, and I pay another $30 to send it back again. What do you know, they send it back to me AGAIN saying they serviced it, but I test it out and it's still non-functional! At this point I am a bit irked, because once I guess I could let a mistake slide, but twice????? $60 down the drain? C'mon. The third time I send back my scooter they were kind enough to send me a shipping label. I send them my scooter, and almost a month passes before I hear anything back. After this point, I reach out to ask about the status. The person from Asurion tells me they've been "trying to contact me" and "sent me an email" saying my product was not only nonfunctional (HELLO I already knew this) but that it was unfixable(mind you this whole interaction was very unpleasant and the Asurion rep was very rude as well, essentially gaslighting me). AFTER ALL THIS TIME. I tell the person that it would've been nice if they hadn't waited a month to pass to let me know but they said they had sent me an email and would be refunding me. Like were they hoping I just forgot about it?? Anyways, fine. At this point I'm just happy they finally agreed with what I'd been saying all along-- that the first time I had contacted them 3 months before, my scooter was not working. However, the final straw was when they told me they would be reimbursing me in the form of an Amazon Gift Card. What????? Not a replacement device? Not my original form of payment???? Are you kidding me????? despicable. Amazon had this insurance policy on devices going for them, but with service like this I don't think many will keep buying electronics insurance with Amazon--I personally will be taking my business elsewhere.
