Dices veggies faster than you can believe
I bought this after a Friday night with some friends. You know that we're getting old (hey now, I'm only 24!) when the night just consists of my girlfriend and I at another couple's house playing card/dice games with some drinks and the topic somehow turns to dicing onions and how my girlfriend hates doing it.In no time at all, the couple we're with digs this contraption and an onion out. Cuts the ends off, chops it into 4ths (even though halves would have been fine) and throws it into the chopper. About 20 seconds of turning later reveals perfectly chopped onion, almost like magic. There was an instant "We need one of these!" from my girlfriend. So I pull up Amazon on my phone, scanned the UPC on the box, click the buy button, and 2 days later have one of these bad boys delivered to my apartment. At least we all remembered why their apartment smelled like onions the next morning.UPDATE:Now that I've owned it for awhile, I'll give a quick update. I rarely use this, mostly because I don't chop a whole bunch of things up. Usually just an onion and I can do it easily enough with a knife and not worry about the cleanup. But when I do make salsa, you can bet this thing comes out.

Stripped the gears inside it very 1st time using it.. Looked for manufacturer's contact info. No numbers no contact info, nothing.. Did goggle search for parts and found out no parts available. Once broke that's it..

This machine is great
My daughter bought me my first one 4 years ago and I used it on a daily basis, my hands are bad so it was a life safer I could go back to cooking the way I wanted without asking for someone to chop up everything. The first one lasted 4 years then I broke the handle off so I went to Amazon to see if I could find another one. I read the reviews and decided to make sure I bought the old style it costs a little more but I had great luck with the first one.

The one kitchen gadget I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT!
This salsa maker makes it so easy to chop onions, resulting in uniformly sized pieces and NO TEARS! I NEVER chop onions with a knife anymore. When I make spaghetti sauce, I buy loads of fresh veggies, chop them in the salsa maker and toss them into the sauce. YUMMY!!!I personally like this better than an electric food processor because 1) The chopped food comes out in more uniformly sized pieces and 2) It's so light weight to wash and put away in a cupboard.

It's like a toy
Did ok on onions, but nuts take a long time. Going to electric food processor. This thing goes in the yard sale pile.
