This is the one you want.
Very thorough and extremely accurate, detailed results. Of course, that takes time so be patient. We have used two kits, two separate times and have been very pleased.

Awesome!
The wait time was a bit long but it was expected for a DNA result, sample was super easy to take and send off directions are pretty simple. We were told she was a Pitsky we didn't believe the original owners until we got the results back and there it is Pitty and Husky. It breaks down the genetics of the parents too so my pups mom was husky/collie and the Dad was a Pitty Mutt (like 4 breeds) very helpful

This DNA kit is a scam
Purchased in 7/2023, set up account with them WITH NO DOG PICTURE- in early September 2023. Waited 6 weeks, no one contacted me to tell me the TEST WAS INCONCLUSIVE- I had to initiate getting results by chatting with them. The sent me another test kit- received it in the end of Nov 2023. Sent it in End of March 2024, its May 5th and still no results on the second test as well as NO ONE BOTHERS TO CONTACT ME. Waste of money this company is not legit.

Comprehensive
I'm a little surprised by some of these reviews. I have several dogs and have tried 2 additional well known DNA test brands. What stands out with Orivet is the detail. While the results did take a while, I understood why when they arrived. Other brands I've used prior either categorized my mutts into 3 simple breeds or utilized the umbrella term "supermutt" in the results. When Orivet's results arrived, my dog's DNA was analyzed down to a single percentage. I am actually annoyed that I spent several hundreds of dollars on lazy testing when I could have tried Orivet first. As mutt parents, were already aware we've got "supermutts." What we really want to know is the actual recipe, line for line, of what our precious pups are made of. Thanks Orivet for going that extra mile. I will be ordering again.

Perfect
This was used to prove my dogs breed and it worked amazing. Results take a few weeks.

Convenient and relatively quick, but suspect results
This is the 3rd DNA test I've used on our recent rescue. I was interested to compare several different companies and started with the 2 most commonly recommended brands which are also a bit more expensive. I picked Orivet as the 3rd test because it was easy to order on Amazon, less expensive, and still got good reviews.Sample collection was a little trickier than the other 2, especially with the extra step of allowing the samples to dry before repackaging, but overall not difficult. It was nice to receive updates when the samples were going through the process, but notices seemed a little slow or delayed. The results were not as clear as the other two companies I tried. They both identified the same major breeds in approximately the same percentages which gave me some confidence in their results. Orivet's results identified a breed that was not in either of the first two test results (rat terrier) as the most prevalent breed and left off the biggest breed (pit bull terrier) identified by the other tests. There was some consistency beyond that (large portion boston terrier), but also a large "mixed breed" component (30%) in the Orivet results that was not very informative. Overall a very mixed bag when compared to other tests which is why I rated accuracy down. It's possible the other tests could be off, but seems unlikely given our dog's physical characteristics and the consistency between the other results.I would probably recommend skipping this one and paying a little extra for one of the other tests (Embark or Wisdom Panel) based on our experience.

I was & am really pleased with them
I was pretty surprised at the breed mix of my black dog. The red one wasn't a surprise.

Don't waste your money!
I bought this last year but only did the swab and send it at the end of July. I've heard nothing. Sadly, I'm no longer able to claim a refund. When I contacted Orivet through online chat, I had to wait for an eternity for someone to come online even though I was no. 1 in the queue. The person I chatted with didn't have a clue - he said they were waiting for the swab to arrive in the US. However, he couldn't tell me if the UK division had received it or when they had sent it on. He told me it would be sent standard shipping so they couldn't track it. I told the young man I thought it was a scam and he denied this, blaming their logistics. I have no belief that I will ever receive any results from this and would say Buyer Beware!

We had to wait but we received our results
We sent our sample from Switzerland on March 22nd, the sample was sent and arrived in the US on April 19th. Finally, we received our results on May 26th. Based on his pictures, we thought our dog had something of a Malinois. He yawns a lot, maybe this explains the Malamute and Husky parts.

Perpleja, estoy.
