More than Adequate
Edited and Introduced by Austin Farrer, Trinity College, Oxford. Mr Farrer authored the paper entitled "On Dispensing With Q" which is linked from […] The edition has full credits (editor, translator and publication dates), hyperlinked contents and index, is formatted properly and shows very few errors. Kudos to the good people at Amazon Digital Services for making it available!

Theodicy
A good book to read. Leibniz is little studied. As is often the case, such philosophers wrote many good theories that are unfortunately skipped over in the general philosophy classes, so the name, Leibniz, is not as household as Socrates. Leibniz, as all philosophers, is worth a read.

Interesting
Very interesting, Leibniz had a deep insight into the areas of philosophy and theology he discusses. He comes at the dawn of the Modern Age and I am glad that his voice is among those we remember for this time period.

Sub-Par Printing of a Good Book
I am a fan of Leibniz's philosophical work and I am systematically working through his major works. When I got to _Theodicy_, I bought this edition and I was quickly disappointed in the printing. Other reviews referred to an index, but my copy has none. There is a simple title page, no copyright page, no index, and no standard page numbers. The page numbers occur in brackets in-text throughout, but it is difficult to flip through to find a certain passage when you are forced to skim the text just to find a page number. For copyright information, the only information given in the actual book is the ISBN on the back cover, which makes academic citation difficult. Furthermore, Leibniz frequently quotes Greek and Latin in his arguments, but this edition does not translate these lines. I was only able to get the main idea of the quotes because I am proficient in Greek and adequate in Latin. Finally, there are typos throughout where (I believe) Japanese characters are printed in the middle of a word. This makes reading the text difficult in some places, since it is unclear how many English letters are missing. I can deal with the other problems of this edition, but unreadable text is too much of an issue. To summarize, I highly recommend reading _Theodicy_, but I do not recommend reading this edition. This edition is practically a hard copy of the Kindle edition, which does not help an academic like myself.

Liked it a lot
Most of us have only encountered Leibniz through the cartoonish lambasting of his thoughts on goodness by Voltaire in Candide. I thought is was refreshing to consider own Leibniz thoughts directly.

Got it.
Was actually ordered by a friend of mine on my kindle which I no longer have. But it worked fine when I had it.

This book contains many misprints.
This printing contains many misprints. Just open some random pages and you will see a lot of strange (chinese?) symbols where words or letters should have been. Where people drunk when printing this book? Unbelievable that this book is sold like this. Also, there is no index and no page numbers! I bought books printed by Amazon before and they where good, but this is really really bad. Don't buy, you will regret it even with the low price.
