Tried this out on a whim and now it’s in my cofffee rotation. Cheap and good! Would recommend.

It's what I expected from the description and reviews.IMO I think it's an excellent bean and roast, quality offering - and it is quite "full bodied". It is a "strong" tasting cup of coffee - which has nothing to do with caffeine content - just it's flavor. I'll be using this to mix with other that I have to balance them, and this out - for how I like it.At the price point I purchased at, if remains that way, is an excellent value. I would keep using this to blend with the others I use. - For the last few decades - I only drink French Pressed, fresh ground coffee beans, per cup. I purchased one of those very expensive Stainless Steel, large presses and never looked back (nor had to repurchase the glass for the glass press I had - the SS was a bargain if even expensive. It is double walled and will never "break").

I have ordered this coffee ( Dark Satin) multiple times on Amazon. It is one of the best tasking whole bean coffees I have had in recent years. Very smooth tasting. My son-in-law recently had to ditch the cream and sugar and says that this coffee actually “tastes just as good black”. My guests always complement me on this coffee too. I did look to see how long a bag last our family. We make 12 cups a day and it generally lasts us a month.

I like both the price relative to most and the flavor of the coffee.

If you like a strong bold coffee with smooth creamy taste you willlove this. When I brew this in the morning the scent wakes everybody up it could be a candle scent lol

Not the cleanest grind but decent flavor, especially if you like chocolate notes.I still prefer Donut Cafe, but when Amazon toys with the pricing this makes a good alternative.

I purchased the Dark Satin variety of Hills Bros when it was on sale for under $0.40 per ounce. It's remarkably good for being that inexpensive. As far as store-bought mass market coffees go, this is near the top. Far, far better than Starbucks or Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf bagged coffee. In terms of quality, I think it's up there with Dunkin, Caribou, and Gevalia. In terms of flavor, it's nice and dark without being bitter. (For context, I always drink my coffee with a little milk/cream. Depending on the flavor, I sometimes add a touch of sweetener.)
