Who thought this would work? Well it does. Most of the gnats, flies and other flying insects are gone from my entry area. These were super effective. I have read about many other brands and some said they were fragile and hard to open. THESE WERE NOT. They were easy, I didn’t break a single one. The size and colors are not only effective it they look so cute in my pots. The cost of these is so minimal and the effect so amazing everyone should buy a set. I highly recommend

I got these in hopes that they may deter mosquitoes and other bugs from my outdoor area. I’m not sure if they will help yet, but I can tell you that there are adorable and worth it just as decorations! This set came with a LOT of dragonflies. The group you see me holding in my photo is only half of what you get. As you go to use each one, be sure to open their wings to help them stay open. The wire there are attached to can be inserted into your plants or other areas (not in my second photo I inserted them into the wicker on the back of my chair!). You can also bend the wire - using a pair of pliers will help - to wrap them around things. The dragonflies are light but well-made. The wire is stiff, but also long and flexible enough to make the dragonflies look like they are moving in the wind which is the look you’re going for in deterring insects. I’ve heard of people attaching these to their hats when they are gardening - I can see myself pushing one of the wires through the back of my visor so the dragonfly is perched above my head. Again, I’m not sure if these will work as a deterrent, but one way or the other I’m glad I got them because they sure are cute!

Cute garden decor, I think they worked a little bit.

They work against wasp and other bees.

We had tons of carpenter bees around our deck. I put a bunch of these out for about a week. I honestly think they might’ve been attracting them more. The bees are certainly not scared of them. They would swarm and buzz all around them. If they paid any attention to them at all, they would just sit in front of them looking like they were staring them down. It certainly didn’t drive them away. I really wanted this to work. The video was hard to capture but no effect whatsoever.

I purchased these on a whim. Several friends have commented favorably on them. I have them stock in the various plants around our front porch. I like that they're small and don't stick out like a pink flamingo. One note is that the wings stick straight up so they don't look realistic. I used a hair dryer (on low setting) and warm them up, bent the gently over, and now they look pretty realistic. (at first glance. lol) They are on a light gauge wire about a foot long. This allows them to 'fly' in the breeze a bit.

Really a great value. I originally thought that they were cheap because the wings were flat...eventually my grandson showed me that the wings do separate...giving a much more realistic representation!! Great job guys!
