Cyclingdeal Conversion Kit Fixie Bike Single Speed Aluminum Chain Tensioner with Adaptor for Road Bike and MTB

I converted my 7-speed hybrid to a one-speed electric. This tensioner is a very good product and easy to install but the chain kept skipping on the rear cog after installation. There were no installation instructions on setting the proper tension to prevent the skipping. Maybe every bike is different...can't be sure. Anyway, after some trial and error and even you-tubing an installation video, I got it to work without skipping. Yay! Turns out the arm needed to be almost parallel to the rear chain-stay to keep proper tension on the chain and prevent chain skipping. After sorting all that out, I took the bike for a 20-mile ride and it worked flawlessly through all electric power levels. I am very happy with my purchase.

The install fairly easy, the different sized spacers help make your chain as straight to the front chainring as possible. Only problems are from the tensioner, it makes taking on/off the back wheel a slight hassle. And it makes a noise when you’re peddling, nothing too bad though

Worked perfect to replace my derailleur. Turned my bike into a single speed with this kit.

Tensioner has some play from sis to side but seems to be ok, the cog and spacers worked out fine. Over all not bad.

Application: hybrid bike with mid-drive 1,500 Watt electric gearmotor. I removed rear derailleur components and converted into a single fixed 11T rear cog configuration. I only used the tensioner from this set. It fit into the existing hanger and It tensioned the shortened chain properly. Adjustable idler shaft allowed for proper chain alignment. I like the tensioner bracket light yet strong aluminum construction. So far - so good. Thank you for reading my review.

Great all in one package to convert your multi speed bicycle to a single speed. Very easy installation with the proper tools for chainring removal.

It does what's supposed to do and looks neat. The kit is good, maybe a couple of dollars overpriced but that's just me. The tensioner is a little too noisy. I got me extra cogs because the 16 was good in Florida but not in Tennessee. There I went with an 18t.

Might work for a hard tail dirt jumper or single speed hard tail. Don't bother if you wanna put it on a DH bike.

The chain tensioner is worse than having no chain tensioner. It makes tons of sound and ruins the chain. The single speed ring isn't that bad, but it can be bought seperately
