Absolutely ideal! Easy to set the combination, easy to instal, easy to lock and unlock. Very pleased. Also feels super secure. Comes with screws that CAN NOT BE UNSCREWED, so you get one chance, and one chance only, to get them in straight/correctly. However, even though my installation was indeed NOT PERFECT, the bolt closes and it sturdy as can be.

I really like these locks. I have used two of them as they are well suited for keeping large varmits (aka children) out of areas such as workshops and closets full of food.They are awesome because they are very easy to latch and unlatch. No need to line up the two parts due to additional play, or need to pull the latch up and out of a rest area then slide.While the kids are young just the latch itself is sufficient. However I do like that one can also use the combination aspect as needed for extra security.

This was a decent unit. It lasted for about a year of being used (lock # set opened and closed) 6 times a day 7 days a week. I used this unconventionally on a box for our escape room. You play a puzzle that gives you a code that you can enter into the lock. the lock malfunctioned in the sense that after a year of use, it did not matter what numbers were put in. It would open. I ordered another one just like it. I am hopeful that it will last as long as the last one.

I gave this product 3 stars because when it works, it works great. It was easy to install, and it doesn't jam. However, in 3 separate incidents, I've had someone "roll the lock" (roll the digits randomly and pull the latch at the same time) and open it without using the code. I tried to repeat it, but couldn't do it, so I tried to write it off as a fluke... until it happened a few more times... I am not exactly sure what's going on with it, because at every other time, it works just great. I haven't been able to get the same people to repeat it again, so I think it's okay....I wouldn't use this lock to protect anything extremely valuable, just in case.

Installed it on the gate to my backyard to allow neighbors access when we're on vacation. Easy to install; nice clean appearance!

Well made. Easy to program and seems very strong. I use as an extra lock on garage door by adding a metal hole in side wall for lock to protrude through.

The first lock I received broke after a few days of use (one of the numbers spun freely and wouldn't 'click' into place), but I contacted the company, and they promptly sent me a replacement. The replacement lock has been working great for about a month now. The first one I received must have been a fluke. Great customer service from the company.
