Not a durable LED product in any area
I hesitated to write a review on these LED bulbs to give the product a fair evaluation. I was hoping to be able to give a positive review, but the lights are starting to fail with less than one year of service. I have six above the vanity in the bathroom and four in a LED Edison base in a room in my barn. Three of the four in the barn have failed. I would try to rationalize this with the hot weather here in Tennessee, but all of my other outdoor installed LED lights by a different manufacturer continue to work magnificently after over two years of service. I am not happy with the quality of these particular bulbs made by Sunco Lighting.UPDATE: It has been a little over a year, and now the lights in the vanity are starting to fail as well. This product says it has a five year warranty and I am ready to find out how well they back this up.

Good bulbs if you don’t mind the text and NOISE
First impression:Product was safely packaged. Bulbs all intact and are true daylight bulbs. However, these bulbs do make a buzzing sound when turned on. Also, the bulbs are not as pictured. If I would have known that these bulbs have so much writing around the neck I would have never purchased. Very disappointed that the items are not as pictured. The text takes away from the look when the bulbs are plugged into the vanity.I am using on a new Inpressions Hollywood glow Xl 2.0. The vanity is rated for this specific type of bulb. These bulbs are LOUD.

9 of 12 dead after 1 year. Do not buy
My bulbs were purchased in August 2018.The box says 3 year warranty. 2 bulbs recently died. I’m not even sure how to handle this since my return window has closed. I’ll give seller an opportunity to make this right. On you...Update. After about 1 year 9 of 12 are dead. No reply from Sunco regarding warranty.

Wow....great so far! Got the 3000k & the 2700k
These 12 bulbs just arrived yesterday & I installed them in our master bath (Warm White 3000k) and so far....great!All 12 bulbs function and work on our sliding dimmer switch we already had in use with the 12 incandescent 25w vanity lights we've always used. We couldn't wait to get rid of those hot, energy/money wasters! The first two photos I've attached don't quite show the full brightness they actually are, but with 12 bulbs, it's really bright. We won't usually have them turned up all the way very often. The wall is painted a sort of almond color if that helps. In the darker photo, the shadows from the bulbs are due to a night light on the counter below. For this bathroom, having 12 bulbs, we didn't think going higher on the kelvins (warmth) would make sense, for us anyway. You may be different.Yes, some may think this style chrome vanity light fixture is "outdated" but it works fine for us and until we find another style we like...this is fine. We have two other bathrooms with the same fixtures....all three have dimmer switches. Those bulbs should arrive today. The slding dimmer switch in this master bath is newer than our other two bathrooms. We installed it about five years ago (not sure of the brand)...there is NO buzzing from the bulbs nor the switch...NO flickering either. After these bulbs arrived, I ordered another set of 12 bulbs, but in the 2700k.I want to take the brightness down a notch by switching the bulbs- putting the (12) 2700k in the master and split the (12) 3000k bulbs with the two other bathrooms because they only use 6 bulbs each. After I install those bulbs using the older dimmer switches, I'll update this review if there is any buzzing as others have mentioned....but so far, we're quite impressed with these bulbs!UPDATE 8-12-18:The 12-pack of the 2700k bulbs arrived today (Sunday) so I put those in our master bathroom and moved the 3000k bulbs to the other two bathrooms as I mentioned above. The 2700k is almost the same as the 3000k....you can barely notice the difference.....but with 12 bulbs in one room...it's just enough to tone it down a tad bit. I've attached two more pics of our master bathroom: the 4th photo showing the 3000k bulbs on the Left & the 2700k bulbs on the Right ...all the way on...the 5th photo is with them dimmed down...3000k on the Left/2700k on the Right..As for the dimmers in our other two bathrooms with the 3000k bulbs (6 in each bathroom): No problems at all. No buzzing, No flickering....and we figured out that those dimmers are around 20 years old. They're the push in & turn round knob type rated for 600 watts each, which we were already planning to change to sliders, but for now, I just thought I would mention that they are working fine.IMO: the 2700k & 3000k Sunco bulbs are perfect for those who are maybe transitioning from incandescents to LED and want a comparable warm/soft light that when used in multiple bulb fixtures, is a little brighter light than incandescent, but not super bright white lighting. But, if you're looking for a lot more bright light, you might want the 4000k or 5000k, and consider a dimmer. When using single LED bulbs, we've noticed with a few we've changed, that the 2700k (in a couple of different brands) all seem to be quite similar "warmth" or "color" to 60 watt incandescent bulbs. So if you're looking for brighter lights in single applications (i.e. table lamp with one bulb), perhaps consider a 4000k or higher kelvin "warmth"

These LED Bulbs are PERFECT in 3,000K for a Hollywood Vanity Makeup Mirror!
These LED bulbs are PERFECT in 3,000K for a Hollywood vanity makeup mirror. If you have a dimmer on your vanity mirror, make sure that your dimmer switch is specifically designed to be used with dimmable LED bulbs, like these. If not, then you'll get buzzing and/or strange performance issues with these or any other LED bulbs. Don't blame the bulbs, blame your dimmer! These bulbs are bright and according to my daughter, who is a makeup specialist, they are the correct color temperature for makeup application.

Very good and efficient light bulbs, but too bright and closer to daylight than to soft white.
These light bulbs are very good, but you have to keep in mind two things.First, they are very bright, much brighter than conventional 40 W light bulbs they are considered to be replacements for. I replaced the conventional 40 W bulbs with these LED ones, and I had to unscrew half of them - even in this case the light fixture is much brighter than it was with incandescent ones. Efficiency of these bulbs is amazing - I measured their power consumption, ant it's under 5.5 W.Second, the color temperature of the bulbs is definitely higher than 2,700 degrees, their light is way closed to day light than to soft white as they are supposed to be.

These LED Bulbs have an Incredibly Short Lifespan ...
In 2018, I ordered 24 of these bulbs for the two 4-bulb vanity lights in our master bathroom (I had misplaced the original 12 bulb box and so ordered again). I've gone through 13 of these LED bulbs in two years. That 3.25 bulbs per socket in less than two years ... or 1.5 bulbs per socket per year. Our house is 100% LED. These are the only LED bulbs that have disappointed with respect to longevity. They are on about two hours a day with all of the latest gizmos to control house-wide electrical surges. The box says that the LED vanity bulbs should last 23.5 years when on 3 hours/day = 25,733 hours. They lasted an average of 730 hours, which is less than 1% of the advertised lifespan. Indeed, these bulbs have a shorter lifespan than our experience with traditional incandescent bulbs.

Out of the 11 out of 12 are working.
Out of the box, only 11 out 12 of these bulbs worked.Only time will tell whether there are long-term quality control issues with these bulbs, as I have never encountered an issue ever with GE, Phillips, Luminus or Sylvania bulbs with being dead out of the box.Otherwise pleasant light, easy to install and no flickering or buzzing sounds when compared to other dimmable bulbs.I will update the review if more issues arise.

With these bulbs, you can bring the sunshine inside.
Ho-lee-smokes these are bright! There are 6 of these over both, mine and my wife's bathroom sink. If you get out of bed, tired and mopey, and hit the light switch, you will wake up as a load of pure sunshine hits you in the face. I was concerned that the color might be a bit too cool (5000K) for my wife, but to the contrary, she says it's perfect for make-up. The only downside: these bulbs are expensive.

Excellent product !
These LED replacement "Fat Albert" bulbs are great. The slightly higher kelvin color temperature is an improvement upon the old 3200 incandescants, not to mention the energy savings. They give new life to a really nice bthroom light fixture that necessitates Fat Albert bulbs in its style and function. Very pleased !
