nice quality
Beautiful ceiling fan and quiet. It does not have a light. Very happy with purchase.

Stylish and quiet
Everyone who has seen it has complimented me on it. Worth the price for an up-to-date looking fan. Also, runs without a peep!

Amazing to work with
The fans we ordered were beautiful but hung just a little to low on our outside deck. We had to send them back and Marshall the Fan was absolutely amazing to work with!

The best fan that exists.
Quiet, powerful, low profile, easy to install. All other fans suck eggs in comparison

Beautiful, quiet, but hire a smart, creative electrician unless you know what you’re doing.
Absolutely beautiful fan and amazingly quiet. Installation instructions should be much more specific and better written. For instance, the instructions say to simply attach the blades using the provided screws, but there are also flat washers and lock washers provided with the screws and the instructions don’t mention or show them in the diagram. They are very necessary. I ended up placing a lock washer and then a flat washer on each screw before inserting them. That seems logical, but I won’t know for sure unless the blades start coming loose. One odd design choice: the plate that mounts to the ceiling box has four foam/rubber bumpers on the side that goes against the ceiling. That’s to be expected. However, the foam is so close to the center of the bracket that all of it ends up inside the ceiling box, where it does absolutely nothing. I think these should be placed closer to the perimeter of the plate, so they can sit against the ceiling.OK, another odd thing: the mounting plate has a green grounding pigtail which the instructions don’t mention (they mention a ground coming from the motor housing, but that doesn’t exist). Someone who doesn’t understand how to ground a fixture might be confused.Overall, though, seems to be very well made and worth the price.OK, OK, one more thing: you HAVE to use the remotes to control the fan. Which means batteries to replace. And they’re ugly, but you can hide them and confuse your guests. They do offer 6 speeds and the ability to change directions on the remote, which is really nice.

Gorgeous Fan! Expensive but not like anything else out there!
Wow, this fan is really gorgeous! And it's a ceiling fan! Really! We hired an electrician to do some other work and he installed this for us. And believe me, he was impressed. The blades are wood - not plastic. We have very traditional mahogany type furniture and this blends in quite nicely so I would say it can go ultra modern or traditional. Not having that big old light hanging down in the middle of the room anymore is delightful. This takes up hardly any space and yes, when it's on, you feel it. We have not taken it above #2 yet and there is plenty of "wind" for sleeping. It is incredibly quiet. The wall switch has no wires - it's only needs a battery so there is no wiring to be done at the switch. Just pop it into where you used to have a fan switch. The remote is quite handy. We are going to use command strips to attach it to the nightstand as they are removable. The gal at the lighting place told me that 3 blade fans actually move more air than 5 blades and now we believe it. Yes, it's expensive. More that we thought we would pay for a ceiling fan so we hope it lasts a long, long time like our old Casablanca.

Initial issue, but best customer service ever fixed it!
I ordered this fabulous modern fan for our deck project back In October. It was installed and “working” when the contractors finished in November. However, it turned to winter and we never got a chance to try it out. Cue Covid in March 2020, and now we spend most of our time out on our deck. The fan was not working right, as I had to give it a “push” in order for it to respond to the remote or wall control. I contacted customer service for the Mathews Fan Company, and got an immediate phone call from Steve, one of the reps. He talked me through some self diagnosis steps, figured out it was a motor issue, and said he would get a new motor to me ASAP. They did testing on the new motor for 24 hours in the warehouse before sending, and Steve offered to stay on the phone with me for the entire install so I could do it myself.Motor came within a week, and I was able to install myself without Steve’s help, and the fan is PERFECT. I get compliments all the time on it, and would not hesitate to buy again. Plus? Lifetime warranty!

Nice design but not smart
I chose this fan because of its design. I really like it and it looks better than I thought.HOWEVER I don't understand why they can't include a smart wifi controller. The remote and wall control are so outdated. I installed the wall control but I really feel embarrassed about it, it looks like from the 60s.For this price range, I expect a wifi controller and more modern controls.I have two WAC fans, they are half the price, smart and more modern looking.
