First I would like to say I really like these Milton Coupler/Plugs I have a box of 20 male plugs on hand as well as a box of 10 male couplers. However, this particular kit is not what is advertised. I had ordered the kit for the female couplers and the female plugs. This kit has 4 male couplers (no female). At least it has 4 of the female plugs.VERY disappointed, I was hoping to convert my two shop air hoses today before starting a detail and polish tonight.I loaded an image of the kit for you all, as you can see in the image, no female couplers.

I was a bit disappointed with the product because it's made in China. I expected USA because Milton is a US company and other similar Milton products I bought were US-made.Quality-wise, the couplers seem ok.The plugs aren't as good as other Milton Made In US plugs I bought earlier. They are made of ALUMINUM!The US-made plugs are made of STEEL and are stronger and more durable than the China-made ones.I am upset that the product's PACKAGING does not stats this -- only the description of the product on this web page mentions steel and aluminum. "Heavy duty steel" is stated on the packaging -- yes the couplers are made of steel, but NOT the plugs.This is inaccurate/deceptive advertising to me.

Coming from a mixed bag of universal and industrial couplers, these perform much better. I thought my impact gun's air valve was going bad because it had zero power, but after troubleshooting i found my quick coupler was limiting air flow. I changed all the tools, hoses and compressor fittings over to these type V fittings and everything runs better. Impact has more power than ever, even filling tires is faster.Pros:Price.selection of male side fittings included.Air flow.Cons:for best performance, keep all fittings the same brand or at least type, so buy extras.Male side fittings are aluminum, they are not the strongest, If you drop the tool count on the fitting breaking. Which is better than damaging the tool, so it's not a horrible thing.some people may not like the color, i couldn't care less can be helpful in identifying if you missed converting a tool.I prefer brass over steel couplers, not a deal breaker.

I recently purchase my first air impact wrench. Of course I was anxious to try it out. I was sorely disappointed because it would not remove the lug nuts on my 1997 Jeep Cherokee Sport. I did a little research and found that 1/4" air line with typical connectors would not provide enough air flow. So, I ordered Milton V-Style fittings and a new 3/8" air hose. Now the little 1/2" NitroCat stubby removes lug nuts like a champ. I highly recommend these fittings.

so I bought some of each, all Milton brand, to test. the V style (V for high volume?) seems to be the best. simply push the couplers together to lock them, pull the sheath to release. very easy and high flow, too. the A style (ARO company?) couplers function the same way, are smaller but are harder to get together and are not high flow. the M style (Milton company, aka industrial or I style) is what comes standard on tools. buy a nail gun and it's an M style on it. you gotta pull the sheath back to lock em together and that isn't so easy. the T style (automotive) is like the M and I haven't got a clue as to why you might use it over any other. I've read that the A, M & T styles will fit in the V style but Milton doesn't put that on the package and it seems like they would if it were true. Anyhoo, I'm going with the V style. I haven't seen swivel connectors in any style but M so I'll use a lead-in hose with an M coupler on the end if I use a tool with a swiveling connector on it. Durability was not tested.

The air volume is likely increased but that really matters not to me.(can't hurt) The part that I LOVE is that it is almost effortless to make the M to F connections. It clicks right in, doesn't leak and no 2nd hand/fingers are needed to make the connection. Other Female connections I had to twist or pull back the sheath to make the connection or had to really press hard the connectors together.Simply put "very happy".

purple male also didn't work in my universal coupler ( leaked lots of air )male red Milton or industrial fitting does fit in and seems to work fine with the purple female coupler.recently a O Ring fell out of a purple one. I had to stick it back in.

I bought this set to upgrade the fittings in my garage. The extra flow is a nice addition to some of my air hungry tools. Anodize looked great and the fittings have a nice push to lock feature which is convenient.
