Great replacement for old medicine cabinet.
This medicine cabinet offers a lot for the price. From the beautiful beveled mirror to the steel body, it seems well made and sturdy. My house was built in 1990, and when we purchased it a year ago, the original medicine cabinet was still in the upstairs bath. It looked very old and tired, even though still functional. We finally got around to finishing up that room, and this cabinet worked out great. Finding the right size for the rough in can be a little challenging, so I was very glad to see some offerings that fit both the rough and exterior sizes we needed. The cabinet is heavier than the one it replaced, likely due to what seems to be a beefy mirrored door, but still manageable while installing. It offers ample storage and adjustable shelving, which was a must for me. The magnet that holds the door closed is strong enough to provide a very secure closure, but still allows easy opening. The piano hinge also allows for smooth functioning of the door. Installation was straight-forward, so not much to say about it. We just pushed it into the opening and screwed it in using the pre-drilled screw holes. Easy peasy. The appearance is quite nice. I appreciate the clean lines of the design and the beveled, rather than framed, mirror. The weak point of this cabinet seems to be the plastic shelves. They’re nothing to write home about lol, but they look fine, since they’re clear, and they fit and function as expected. But, as they are lightweight plastic, I wouldn’t be surprised is they don’t hold up. I’m not disappointed, though, as the overall build quality is quite good, especially for this price. So, I didn’t feel that it was enough to warrant a star dock in this otherwise good value product.

Fits perfectly if you measure your opening correctly
This cabinet fits perfectly as a replacement for our old recessed cabinet and it looks great. Be sure to measure your opening right to avoid having to return it. We replaced two cabinets in our house with these cabinets. One of the replacement cabinets arrived cracked. Amazon issued a prompt refund and the new replacement cabinet was delivered the next day. The installation is easy but requires two people.

Great quality, solid
Awesome size and the install was not too difficult. Removed a little medicine Chest with a mirror that didn't hold much. This is a quality unit with a lot of mirror inside and out. To put it in the wall, I first removed the cabinets mirror door, which was the majority of the weight, which was very simple just removing six small screws. So it would not weigh much to keep trying to insert it. It should have fit between twenty four inch studs, But I had to cut away some of the stud as apparently the house was built with them.A bit crooked for something. See pic

They don’t make them like they used to
For many people their medicine cabinet is one of those things they see and touch and use every single day. Those same people probably have never bought a medicine cabinet in their lives (it came with their house or their building contractor sourced it and installed it without any input from the homeowner). And precious few people ever replace a medicine cabinet that’s already installed. So it just makes you wonder why something that’s used every day and is supposed to last a lifetime isn’t made as well as they used to be. You would be surprised how many of them I looked at that are made of thin plastic and have the look of a tawdry motel’s bathroom. I am pleased to say that this one is still made mostly of powder-coated steel and is still made in the USA. The mirror is one piece of beveled glass rather than flat glass in a metal frame, so it looks like it can belong in a nicer bathroom. For me the first and number one reason for choosing it is that the dimensions are extremely difficult to find these days. Several bath supply specialists told me that it is a size that used to be popular maybe 20 years ago but changes in home construction have made the dimensions close to obsolete. In fact the only one that looked as if it would be a perfect fit was more than double the price. Going back to the metal construction, to be clear it does use clear plastic shelves, something the seller specifies very clearly in their product description. Apparently there are some who expected the shelves to be glass (I haven’t seen glass shelves at this price in over 30 years). Would I prefer glass? Not really, the shelves are out of sight almost all of the time and the use of plastic doesn’t bother me; however I have seen some models that use a thick acrylic shelf that looks like glass that I would have preferred. Unlike the plastic cabinets I’ve seen this one has a mirror that’s a full piano-type hinge that is riveted to the cabinet. The entire cabinet arrives fully assembled and the choice of the way the mirror opens is determined by when end you mount the cabinet as top or bottom. The cabinet can be recessed or wall mounted if you prefer. I spent months looking for a cabinet that fit my available space after the mirror broke on the old one and I eventually only found two that are an exact fit and the other model was almost double and didn’t offer anything more or better for the added cost. Note that they only offer one shipping option which is optimized for the weight and fragileness of something that has such a large glass mirror surface. It took 3 days. One strike against it is, although it survived, it is not especially well protected and the plastic shelves are literally just thrown inside the cabinet with nothing to keep them safe. While the cabinet did survive getting to me, unfortunately it has one strike against it for either the way it is designed or the way it is made … the frame (which is visible whether you recess the cabinet or wall-mount it) does not have welded corners and because the frame flares out very slightly that means there is a gap at each corner. You can see that in the closeup photo. They made the effort to weld the corners of the interior of the cabinet so it doesn’t make sense that they left the corners unfinished. Despite the issue with the corners, which to me is not a deal breaker, the overall quality of this cabinet is a superior value for the price. It looks fantastic once installed and has a feeling of high quality that will last.

Great medicine chest. Bought it for the size but appreciate the high quality
I picked this medicine chest up over a year ago for a bathroom in a small condo which was short on storage. Its a very well made unit that has a LOT of storage inside. The shelves are adjustable, so you can fit the tall bottles and the little stuff on appropriate shelves without wasting a bunch of space inside the unit. The unit itself is very high quality. The sides are mirrored along with the front, and the entire inside is also mirrored, including the inside of the door. The mirroring is flawless. The door was hung properly and I did not have to adjust the hinges at all. It also arrived very well packed with no damage. I hung this on the wall instead of framing it into the wall, so the mirrored sides were important to me. Be aware of the weight - it's pretty heavy. I mounted a piece of plywood to the wall first, then mounted the chest to the plywood. This allowed me to position the chest where I needed it and still have the chest mounted into the 5/8" plywood and then into the studs in the wall.

Well designed, the shelves appropriate for medicines, cosmetics etc, it is good use of the space. Doors mirrors useful due to wide angle reached by the hinges, overall feet’s our needs, excellent product

Judging by the design, I think they're still using up stock they produced in the 1950s. But that's a *good* thing. It will last as long as my house will, it's made on this continent (at least the one I bought in early 2021 was... the company name has changed and the website doesn't say anything about making the product in the U.S.) , and if it's installed properly (recessed in the wall) it looks just fine. It's a swell product.
