Runel Sambal Matah (Chili Sauce with Lemongrass and Shallots) 6.7oz (Pack of 6)

I loved the Sambal Matah that Trader Joe's had a while back, and I'm really sad they stopped making it. But this version is darn close, and totally scratching the itch! With garlic, lemongrass, shallots, and peppers it's bright, spicy, and just an amazing mix of stuff that goes great on eggs, rice, meat, noodles, whatever you can think of! I put it on pretty much everything. I did get 6 small jars, and in a week i'm almost done with the second jar!

Just what I was expecting.

Runel makes the best sambals. Quality ingredients bursting with flavor. I wish I could buy just one of the other varieties they sell.

Careful how you order. Describe as a 6 pack but you only receive one jar and pay for the price of 6.

I love the taste of all the ingredients not normally found in a sambal of any kind.

It has all the chunky ingredients, like the shallots etc.

This must be one of the best hot sauces that I’ve tried in my life . I’m so hooked on it and I almost use it on anything . But it’s the best with fried eggs on the rise

Trader Joe’s, use to carry it, then one day they stopped selling it. We inquired, they informed that this was a slow sales item, so they discontinued. Very sad, but now we have found the source. Thank you!
