Old Fashioned Milk Paint Extra-Bond Pint, For use with Milk Paint

This is the second time I've ordered this product, which I've already used with milk paint on 6 large pieces of furniture. It gives fabulous results and it's very easy to use. It allows milk paint to adhere to the wood, especially when painting over some varnish. I had a concern about the second bonding bottle I had received, and I can assure you the company, Woodcraft, responded right away with 100% satisfactory results. ADVICE: Make sure to always sand and clean the surface before applying your milk paint and bonding mixture however. Depending on how much sanding I've done and how much varnish remains, I may use anywhere between 1 to 4 tablespoon bonding mixed with a blend of 4 tbsp. powder + 5 1/2 tbsp. water. It all depends on the texture you are looking for and whether you want a smooth surface or some degree of crackling. I also add more water if I'm looking to have a washed finish. And I distress both with sand paper and steel-wool. Then, after 1 coat paint-bonding + 1 coat paint only, I add 3 coats clear polycrilic (sanding in between each coat).
