Orca Transition Bag

My husband and me we’re triathletes so we bought two Orca bags . It’s the best tri-bag. The price is worth, very nice and complete transition bag, it has compartments for everything . Amazing structure ...

I admittedly didn't look at the dimensions before ordering. My 'bag', ha-ha. But I loved the unique design and ordered it. The quality is immaculate. I love everything about this bag including the hard area. It's for a helmet, but I used it for my high-end headphones. I just wish there was a smaller version of this bag.I am a petite female using this for the gym. My locker accommodates it. However, I live in NYC where it's crowded. Going to the gym and putting it into the locker isn't an issue. Fitting anything additional into that locker (like a coat and clothes that need to hang) is.Taking it to the shower at the gym isn't a problem. My gym has dressing room-sized showers. Also, I love the shoe compartment, allowing me to take my shoes to the shower and totally change there vs. leaving them in the locker and changing later. But in my case, the gym's most crowded AFTER my shower (around 9am). So pulling this huge bag out and expecting to lay it on a bench to pack/organize it is unrealistic.The final deciding factors for me were when it seemed in the way after my shower. Plus there were so many compartments that I wasn't able to locate something I needed really quick. Also, I was in a small GNC store that was unexpectedly crowded, so I waited outside for my order as a courtesy. Whether I had this on the ground or on my back, it was in the way. Not to mention, NO ONE ELSE at the gym has a bag this big that I've seen.But it's very well worth the price. I truly tried to hold on to it but realized I'm not using it for its purpose and it won't work for mine. I am going to contact Orca to suggest a smaller version for gym use.I'm only subtracting one star because I have owned this brand before and within about 1.5 years of gym use, it fell apart. There were holes along the zipper pocket and the black sleek material fell apart. There were piece of it everywhere. This bag also arrived with the inside zipper broken.

I bought this for my boyfriend's birthday last year and he absolutely loves it! And he is the type of guy who wouldn't just switch to any bag and when he did, he absolutely was very happy with it.The bag in itself is wonderful! But I want to highlight something that made this so much more. After 5 months of usage, the bag started to have a small tear on the top portion. I contacted the seller, Just Wetsuits and I immediately got a response from Kristen. It was a high touch experience from the very beginning and in the end, she contacted Orca and sent us a replacement. (Thank you Orca!) We were very impressed with Just Wetsuits as a company and Kristen's professionalism and responsiveness. This has been a wonderful shopping experience and I wish more companies would take care of their customers like they do! Big kudos and thank you!

Great tri bag! Very high quality. The compartment for the helmet and the other one for the wetsuit are very useful. Nice contrasting colour on the inside and a ton of pockets to hold every small piece of gear. The best part is that it is cabin sized and I took it on board a flight without any issues

There are so many pockets, but more importantly they are all very well thought out. The spots where certain things are stored, and even the angles of certain pockets make them all work extremely well together and doesn't become inconvenient if it's on the ground, hanging up or on your back. Makes packing up gear, and grabbing it during the race, a fun part of doing tri's rather than a painful part.

First of all, I'm always very careful with all my stuff.I've used this bag only 2 times!!! (2 races. Don't use it to train) and I can already see the inner green liner right next to the shoes compartiment zipper (See attached images).I'm very frustrated, because the concept of the bag is awesome. I can put everything I need for race day inside and very organized. That's why it gets 1 star. Otherwise it would be 0 star, considering the horrible build quality, for the big price paid.

The bag is spectacular but the build quality is very bad. I have had it for two weeks and the internal cover is already "unstitched". I am very careful with my things and this is not an intensive use of the bag. I am very disappointed, and to be frank, I regret that a good concept turns out to be a poor delivery of the benefits.

While this bag is indeed large, it's nowhere near as roomy as I expected, especially the main compartment. I agree with other reviewers who mentioned that it would be great if the straps were completely detachable, because they really do get in the way of access to the main compartment. I do love the green interior and all of the pockets, though I agree with another review that said the zippers seem on the cheaper side and may not hold up for as long as I would like. I haven't used this much but it seems to show wear quickly. It's possible it just got a little dirty, so I'll take a closer look and see if it cleans up like new, but if that's the case, it gets dirty very easily.

Great quality. This bag is well compartmentalised, with specific areas for specific kit which makes it easy to store your gear in an organised manor.

Ich hasse diese ganzen Sporttaschen die ihre Form nicht halten und aussehen wie ein Sack wenn man sie nicht komplett voll stopft.Die Orca Transition Bag ist in der Hinsicht einfach super. Aus Sicht als Rucksack ist das Kopf- und Bodenfach aus formhaltendem festen Material gemacht. SIe ist sehr robust und stabil, genau so wie ich es haben wollte. Hab seit Wochen das Netz durchforschst um eine Vernünftige Tasche zu finden. Hab mir viele angesehen und war immer wieder enttäuscht.Ich benutze sie allerdings nicht für Triathlon, sondern fürs Beachvolleyball/Volleyball spielen. Sie bietet ein seperates Schuhfach an der Unterseite wenn man sie Quasi nicht als Rucksack sieht. Es ist ein gut verarbeitetes Nassfach vorhanden, mit zwei Ablauf- bzw. Belüftungslöchern.Sie hat ein Helmfach was ich als Ballfach verwende, passt super! Zusätzlich hat sie viele Netzfächer und kleine Taschen um seinen Kram organisiert mitzuführen. Und bietet dann noch genug Platz für Klamotten und sonstiges Zeug was man braucht, Essen, Trinken etc.Sie ist nicht günstig, aber in diesem Fall muss man echt sagen Qualität hat ihren Preis. Und sie ist von der verarbeitung und Qualität einfach super. Ich würde mich immer wieder für diese Tasche entscheiden.

Ich habe mir die Tasche als Sportmehrzweck(reise-)tasche und für Triathlonwettkämpfe gekauft. Für letzteres steht der Praxistest noch aus, kann es mir aber gut vorstellen. Für ersteres gefällt sie mir gut - viele Fächer, mit Reißverschlüssen, Helmvorrichtung usw. Wirkt insgesamt sehr robust und kann gut als Rucksack oder mit Schultergurt getragen werden. Nicht optimal ist, dass es keine Handtragegriffe gibt - das geht mit den Rucksackriemen gut als Ersatz, wäre aber zusätzlich wohl noch sinnvoll gewesen. Material an sich sehr wertig, deshalb am Ende doch 5 Sterne.
