So I had an ant problem in my kitchen, even though I kept it clean. They kept returning no matter how much I killed them. I wanted to use a home remedy in the kitchen, not some pesticide, know what I mean? Sooo, a friend recommended Windex, because the ammonia kills on contact. This was true, but they kept coming, wave after wave. Apparently, you have to destroy the chemical trail they leave behind, or others will continue to follow the chem trail. So, on a hunch, or just some random inspiration, I took an empty spray bottle and combined 50% of the Zep Pine Multi-Purpose cleaner I had lying around, and 50% of Simple Green PRO HD cleaner. Shook it up, and sprayed down the possible areas where the ants seem to be coming from. A small crack in the ceiling, the top of the kitchen cabinets, the ceramic tiles behind the kitchen stove, the kitchen window and window sill, etc. Well, the ants never returned. Not only did it kill the ants, but must have damaged their chem trails, so none of their pals could find their way to my kitchen. True story.

So I only purchased this since Tucson is having a big bottle Pine Sol shortage… I spray down my shower down with Pine Sol every other day and used to the smell and cleaning power… however when I loaded this up in a spray bottle, the scent wasn’t there… actually I could barely smell anything. The cleaning was OK, left some streaking and needed a rinse and wipe down. Cleaning up the doggie area, I suppose it did its job, didn’t leave any fragrance of clean. Seemed really weak. However, I have four bottles to use up. It will do in a pinch…

It is and states right in the description that it disinfects.
