This Pre de Provence shea butter soap is a great idea either as a gift or as a nice way to treat yourself. I have quickly become a fan of their high quality French milled soaps, and this one is no exception. It has a really amazing fragrance that makes bathing almost an aromatherapy experience. And the decorative tin is a great keepsake.Each one of the individual "Zodiac soaps" has a distinct aroma and tin. The tins are designed by Leslie Cober-Gentry and draw on imagery relevant for each sign. There is also basic date information on the back of the tin, as well as a website listed on the inside so you can learn more about them. The soap is made in France and the tin is made in China.CONCLUSIONThe quality of the lather and fragrance provide for an amazing experience to be savored and remembered. And the tin is something to keep and cherish. This is a great gift idea.

As a soap, I quite like this product. It has a nice scent (slightly floral/sweet, though I couldn't identify it specifically) that isn't overpowering, but beyond that it's long lasting and doesn't dry out my skin.The zodiac angle will appeal to those who are into astrology. The tins the soaps ship in are cute and make for attractive gift packaging. If you're buying these for yourself, though, and aren't much into astrology then you are definitely paying money for a small tin that you will likely put into your recycle bin.

The Pre De Provence Zodiac Tin Bar Soap comes neatly wrapped in clear plastic and presented in a beautiful tin box. It would make a fine gift or keepsake. The soap has a distinct fragrance and a zodiac design imprint while the tin has the design in colorful art, based on the zodiac sign that they represent. The tin is about 3" x 3" x 1 3/8" in size.The soap I received is for Virgo, which has a very nice floral scent. It is subtle and light, not overpowering at all. As a soap bar, it is luxurious, gentle and effective. It cleanses well without stripping much of the body oil from your skin. It doesn't dry the skin unlike many soap bars do. Though you may still want to use a moisturizing lotion afterwards.All in all, I really enjoy this luxury soap. It cleanses well and smells wonderful. The tin packaging is highly presentable which makes a fine and unique gift. The soap is made in France while the tin in China.

This is a nice enough soap, and lathers and works well. But the real selling point is the tin--which I could actually do without. it comes with a Zodiac-themed tin, that I suppose you could use to hold pins or something afterwards, but mine just went in the trash. You're paying extra for the tin, so you better make sure that is what you want!

Each of the these zodiac soaps has a scent tailored for an astrological sign. E.g., Leo is a bit more musk and the soap I have, Virgo, has a more floral scent. Another Vine Reviewer has helpfully provided a list of the various scents in her review since they are not listed in the description.The soap has a light lather and the scent is pleasant and not overwhelming. It will not smell up a room if left on display in a room (note that it comes cellophane wrapped). The soap is a decent size - bigger than most decorative soaps and comes in a decorative tin with a pictured cover and solid color base. The pictures are rather new agey - my Virgo tin has a woman with what looks a pizza piece thrown on her head. :) But the images are colorful and fun.

It's easy to work up a thick lather with this soap, and it's neither rock hard nor mush like so many other bar soaps.The fragrance is mild, a bright flower scent that i can't quite place. It doesn't bother my asthma in the slightest and doesn't stick to my hands like a cloying perfume.

I gave it to her as a thank you gift in exchange for her kindness and as a perfect "Just Because" gift. She loves it. Plus the tin is so colorful and unique, designed by Leslie Cober-Gentry, that all you need is a tiny bow on top and, done in the wrapping department.The shea butter soap inside is just as lovely and subtle as the tin and, not to mention, lovely in fragrance. Best of all, the ingredients steer away from toxins and are free of parabens, ethyl alcohol and sodium lauryl sulfate as well as not animal tested. What better is that? How can I not recommend the zodiac soap for all the special signs in your life, especially you!

This is my third soap I have tried from Pre De Provence and I honestly say I am not disappointed. I am not a connoisseur of soaps, I typically use body washes and foam hand soap but I liked the nice change up of using a bar of soap. These soaps that I have tried before leave a present smell in your bathroom which I just an added bonus. This bar did not disappoint and I thought would be a very unique gift to give to one of my girlfriends. I received the Virgo soap, which the website notes as a dynamic woody citrus fragrance. The soap itself creates a very nice lather when twirled around in your hand 10-15 times. The fragrance is light, not too overpowering and lovely. The tin is artfully designed and has some nice detail to it. I would be proud to give this gift away to a friend and would recommend.
