There is a problem that I find annoying while riding using this style of shield.Because of the way the plastic is molded around the channel edges, it creates a "faux image" that appears along the outer area. My bike; the roadway; cars and trucks going by me, created noticeable reflections in the outer edge of the shield. I found it hard to get use to. I found that I was constantly checking to see if something was coming up on me because the reflections were constantly moving around the outer edge as I rode. Maybe over time I would get use to it but, I don't think so. It made the ride not enjoyable because, I had to keep re-checking to see if what I was seeing in my outer edge vision was ACTUALLY there!

When I first pulled it out of the box, I thought it would be totally see-through, but once installed on your helmet, the darker background makes it completely mirrored. As with all mirrored shields, be advised that you'll see your face's reflection a bit when riding, but you'll get used to it. Its not bad at night, either. The reason for 4 stars is because the finish comes off if rubbed too hard, so I'm developing 2 worn areas where i tried to rub off a bug with my glove while riding, and the other is growing because of what started as a small scratch that worsens as I clean it. As long as you just take care of it (better than I did) and clean with a no abrasive micro-fiber towel and water (no chemicals), it should be a great shield.

Do NOT clean with a microfiber cloth it will remove the reflective coating. Other than that it fits perfectly

This is the second of these that I have bought. Love this visor.

I wish I listened to the reviews before I purchased this. The mirrored shield was great at first but over a short time, the mirrored coating flaked off leaving a mess. it made the shield unusable.

While I loved the visor for a the month or two that I've worn it, it's already peeling away the reflective layer. This is uncalled for. I only clean it with new microfiber rags the material should not be rubbing off like this already. Thankfully it's out of my Vision, along the lowest edge. However with the material not lasting, I'll go back to a all black visor instead. I keep up on my paint with my car and bike and my windows as spotless as possible. I treat my helmet the same.
