I had been ordering bottles of green tea for my daughter but that got to be expensive as she drinks a lot of it. Then I found Tealyra - Japanese Iri Sencha. I take a heaping teaspoon, place it in my tea maker's strainer and pour a cup of boiling water over it. Let it sit for a minute or so and strain it. Then do another pour over with hot water and just let that sit for awhile. Strain and mix the two together and chill. It's a perfect replacement for bottled green tea and so much more economical. Love it!

It has a very strong flavor and smells like broccoli. If you like that then you'll love this tea. I did not like the taste at all myself. I've been drinking Bigelow Matcha green tea with tumeric and black pepper. I love it so I thought I'd try some loose leaf matcha. This was not for me but you may like it. I think it is a quality tea and probably tastes like it's supposed to taste. I'll be trying to give it away to a friend that mike like it.

This is actually Japanese tea. Not Japanese-style, not sencha-style; real friggin sencha-matcha from Japan. The leaf pieces are quite large once brewed. The flavor is strong, not too strong, and not weak sauce like some others. The matcha is a nice addition and reminds me of the matcha blend from Costco only much better. I will order it again if Japan is still closed.

Fishy taste, from first sip. I googled to find out whether this was normal for matcha, and the answer was “no.” Another reviewer said theirs tasted like broccoli: that would have been great for me! Fish/seaweed, no. I tossed it. Mine was “blend of matcha powder and sencha green tea.”

I’ve been drinking green tea for years. I’m not impressed with this tea…much more bitter than what I’m used to.

Thls tea has great grassy flavor! Love this tea!

Got this because I had a similar tea at a restaurant and it did not disappoint.. the flavor is soothing and amazing but could definitely be stronger.

I love green tea for many years now and this is my first venture into Matcha tea. So I don't have much to base a judgement on except to compare to organic green teas. I expected the Matcha to completely dissolve in the water but, it was more leafly. Next time I'll try another brand which is more powder like. This tea has a very mild taste almost too mild for my taste, but I would still recommend it.
