Gets mildewy after one use
This mat is awful because it doesn’t dry properly no matter what I do. I squeeze it out, hang it to dry in an air conditioned room over night and it still smells like mildew after one day of use. It can be washed, but once it gets wet again the mildew smell returns. I have had other mats before that I bought at my local kitchen supply store that were more absorbent and didn’t get mildewy for a while but they seemed to be much better quality. What a waste of money. Switching to silicone mats to see if that is better.

Great Mat Unless You Don’t Use Rack
For what it’s worth this drying mat does a really good job as long as you just use the mat part the rack is completely useless unless you want your dishes to topple over. I’m not sure if I’m using the rack wrong but it doesn’t seem to pair well with the mat. Overall I like the sleek look of it. It’s a great mat to allow our dishes to air dry without that big dish rack every old school kitchen has.

Works fine, got ruined in the washer
Absorbs okay, didn’t get a foul smell or anything of that kind. It clearly says machine washable so I popped it in my washer and it seems to be completely ruined after. Would not recommend

Anything to eliminate unsightly dish clutter
Initially I was drawn to the fact that this item could match my black counter top and blend in; it did blend in perfectly and provided a great area where I could safely store wet dishes/utensils until they dried. After some practice, I began to notice that I really, almost stopped using my standard, plastic dish storage and began to wash my dishes more often because of your product’s proximity to the kitchen sink and because of the absorbency of your product. This allowed for faster storage of anything I placed on the mat. I did not like paying more for selecting the black matching set. I thought this to be a really poor business practice. Hence, my 4 stars instead of 5.

Not worth it
The bottom of these mats appears to be non-skid rubber mat. It's not. These slide all over the place. I leaned a large cutting board on the mat and a cabinet and next thing I knew, the mat shot out and everything wound up on the floor. Even wetting them down doesn't help

Just ok
These are just ok. Bottom side is neither absorbent nor grippy. Measure your space, too. I should have. Smaller than I expected, but that’s on me

Perfect Size
These pads are just the right size for my coffee maker. I like to keep one under it in of accidents.

Absorbrnt mats...
Didn't think my wife would like but on the contrary...she loves them...wish they had a not skid backing on them.

Great for small spaces and easy to keep clean
I was unimpressed with this set when it arrived as the mats had a nasty crease in them that looked permanent and the rack looked flimsy. I am happy that my first impressions were wrong. The creases did drop out after I left the mats laying out flat on my table for a couple of days. The rack also turned out to be surprisingly sturdy and didn't tip over even when full. The reason I bought this set was that I live in an area with very hard water and I was constantly having to clean limescale and other marks off my dish rack. I wanted to try a mat because it would absorb water and could be thrown in the washing machine. I am happy with the result. I don't have water dripping all over my draining board and the mat comes out of the washing machine looking great. I just lay it over my airer and it dries very quickly. The only drawback with this mat is that you can't pile items on it in the way you can with a normal dish rack that has sides to stop everything from falling off. It is fine for my everyday washing-up but when I am doing a lot of cooking it is a bit of a pain. I think I will buy a couple more mats that could be laid out on my kitchen counter to create an extra drying area when I am doing a lot of cooking.

Perfect for my use, but maybe not for everyone
This was the perfect solution to my butler sink and limited worktop - the narrow drainer fits beside the washing up bowl in the sink, so the worst of the water can drain off before putting them on the mat, which has a low enough profile that the door of the microwave can open over it.The mat is a thin layer of foam with a waffel pattern top. Doubt if it could resist a thorough soaking, but that's not how I'm using it.The review format asked me about heat resistance - not sure of the relevance there.

Perfect!
After trying several types of drainers, inc. plastic, bamboo, metal, this is definitely the best. I have found that most metal ones do not hold plates well, and was concerned this would be the same as it's so low. But it holds plates tightly! The mat is the perfect size for a standard drainer, and it's very absorbent. Great that it comes with two, so you have one spare when you wash it. I hope it copes well in the washing machine, I'd imagine it will, as great quality. I like the fact it is only a small metal rack, as it gives more space on the mat for pots and pans. I have found the basket style ones a pain to try and stack pots into. Goes well with any kitchen decor too, and minimalistic, I hate clutter. There are only two of us in the household, so not much washing up, but this would cater for small families I'm sure.

Basico

Happy after a little adjusting
The mat is too large length wise. Had to fold a quarter underneath for my bowel and half sink but have managed thisThe rack could do with being 1 wire shorter so that it fits perfectly with a little room It only just fits so runs the risk of the rack rubbing on your work topIt does the job though and I kept it rather than go with something clunkier
