Latin Monkey Match 1 Card Game (Latin Edition)

A quarter of the way through Song School Latin using the student book and cd, I decided to purchase these cards. They have been such fun for my two boys and me. We have truly learned 100 Latin words or phrases through several games you can play with the cards. My boys, ages 7 and 6, ask to play the games even when "school " is out for the day. We have played memory, old maid, go fish, and another game we made up to practice each lesson's new words. The cards have a large font of a Latin or English word with the corresponding Latin or English equivalent in smaller font upside down to check for correct answers. Background pictures add to the cards to aid in memorization. They work great in a class setting as well to play a game like Latin baseball where students move around the bases for each correct answer when drilling cards. You can easily pull out only the cards learned as they are color coded by 6 week units and lesson number. So some days we grab just one color to play a game, other days we will use two colors if more time allows. I consider these cards a must -have for cementing the Latin words from Song School Latin and having fun at the same time.

We already have the Songschool Latin curriculum. We have been using it about 4 months, so when I saw there were flash cards I was very excited. We played the "Go Fish," game to begin and my daughter was actually having fun and she was overjoyed that she won the game.

Great quality flash cards. These are business card sized and are vibrantly colored. They come wrapped in plastic but once opened there isn't a container to keep them in. The dollar tree has tiny plastic boxes for storage.My children enjoy the bright colors. These are easy to use and helpful when combined with song school latin dvds & curriculum.

These are worth the price. Three games. We like them very much. I've used with 7 through 9 year olds and can go further. Learn, learn, learn!

These little cards are just right for extended use of the books, and a refreshing additional method to learning Latin. Thank you!

My children were dreading learning Latin. But, with this match game they are quickly learning terms while having a great time. They love this game!
