Good looking with stainless steel, and buttery smooth operation
I got this to put in a stainless steel sink when the kitchen was remodeled with granite, and I've used it two years now. It's really nice. It looks good in the steel sink, and it has smooth as butter operation. The handle is easy to position, and the sprayer works fine in position or pulled out. It's easy to pull out and easy to put back. There's a button on top to change the spray type from narrow stream to a broad sprinkle. I had a cheap pull-out model earlier that probably would have lasted a while longer. But I'm glad I got this. It's a lot less frustrating to use, and with this level of quality, I expect it to have a long lifespan.

Impressive! Glad I got this one!
The faucet seems very well made. My plumber was a little worried about what it would be like, but he was super impressed and loved that it was so heavy. It gave him no problems installing. It has a fast flow (strong pressure) compared to my previous faucet - everything works fabulously. The spray trigger releases when you turn off, so you have to reset it every time. (I tend to turn water off often, to conserve.) The spray doesnโt engage on low flow rate- it needs faster flow. Different than old handheld Moen, but I really like this one.

Excellent craftsmanship, excellent service. Very satisfied.
I almost never give 5 star ratings to *anything* since I like think there's always room for improvement. Given that, the Hangrohe Allegro E faucet has received my highest rating of 4 stars. Around Thanksgiving 2013 my 15-year-old Delta kitchen faucet sprung a leak and I needed a replacement. I bought another Delta only to learn that "Stainless Steel Finish" actually means "Plastic bits spray painted to look like stainless steel". I returned it. Then I purchased a Kohler at Home Depot because the salesman said "That's one of the top brands". The throat was cross threaded. I returned it. The quick connector on the 2nd one was broken, so I returned that one. And a week after installing the 3rd one, it started to drip. So I returned that one and gave up on the Kohler brand. I then decided to search for something made in Germany by a German company. No more 'Made in China' junk! The Hansgrohe name came up on several searches, and Amazon carried the style I wanted. The price for a Hansgrohe is higher than the competition (30-40% higher). This model also requires a relatively expensive $60 stainless steel mounting plate (sold separately) if you're installing in a 3-hole metal sink. I bit the bullet, and couldn't be happier. The faucet is beautifully crafted and performs fantastically. Every part of it is well-engineered - there's no slop anywhere. The handle and mainstem are also very heavy and substantial. In a world where everyday appliances have been devalued by cheap and poorly made Chinese imports, it's really refreshing to use a First World product like the Hansgrohe Allegro E. Their warranty and customer service are also exceptional. If you're the original purchaser, you get a lifetime warranty on the faucet for as long as you use it at its original install location. Here's what their site says: "If you are a consumer who purchased the product for use primarily for personal, family or household purposes, this warranty extends for as long as you own the product and the home in which the product is originally installed." Wow. Regarding customer service, I called their US office and asked if they had any suggestions for minimizing some splashing that was occurring, primarily because my kitchen sink is very shallow. The service rep said he would be happy to send me a small plastic flow reducer to address the splashing. The free replacement part arrived a few days later, and I installed it using only my fingers and a small spoon! Problem solved. The only blemish on this otherwise great faucet is that it has a tendency to drip once or twice after I turn it off. The faucet head holds on to less than a teaspoon of water which doesn't have anywhere to go. To mitigate this, I sometimes run a paper towel over the spray nozzles to absorb this water, and then use the moist towel to polish up the faucet. As I noted, there's always room for improvement. You really do get what you pay for. If you're looking for a beautifully designed and crafted kitchen faucet with a lifetime warranty from a company with a great international reputation, then take a look at Hansgrohe. You'll pay a premium, but the item you purchase may very well be the last item of that kind you ever purchase for as long as you live in the same house.

All things considered, it's a winner
First and foremost, it works beautifully. The valve action is as smooth as can be. It also swivels smoothly. I love the ergonomics of the valve. It can be turned on and off (vertical rotation) without changing the temperature setting (horizontal rotation). This is not common in the cheaper faucets I've used in the past, and it's a much-appreciated upgrade. I also appreciate the way the spray works. The spray mode seems unusually powerful, as if it's bypassing the flow regulator. If true, this is a great idea: The spray mode is often used when cleaning something, in which case the extra power is appreciated. The spray resets when the valve is closed and, personally, that's what I prefer. The spray wand also docks securely and easily. Aesthetically, it's a beautiful faucet. Graceful lines, nice finish. No complaints, there. I knew in advance that it might be a bit larger than we would ideally want. The reach is almost an inch greater than most faucets I was considering, it's a bit taller, the flow is stronger, and the faucet angles out slightly in its normal, docked state. The upshot is that we tend to get accidentally splashed more than we were previously accustomed to. But each of these attributes has a positive side, and we are gradually learning how to prevent splashes. So, no biggee. Installing it would have been a breeze, except that the included instructions did not include the black plastic piece turns out to be important if you are installing the faucet through a sink opening, and not through a thick counter. Consequently, I first installed it without the plastic. However, it was so wobbly and un-secure, that I knew it must be wrong. So I went to YouTube, and found a video that explains what the plastic piece is for. Another 30 minutes later, and all was well. The plastic helps anchor the faucet when it's attached to a relatively flimsy stainless steel sink like mine. It's too early to determine longevity, but it certainly is impressively built -- save for the aforementioned plastic piece. Kudos to the seller and Amazon for getting it delivered to my door in less than 24 hours ... on a Sunday morning, even. I can't even comprehend how you do such things!

Nice faucet, good flow rate, slow service, deceptive product description
I purchased this faucet because I needed a 2.2 gpm faucet. We had no idea that kitchen faucets mostly come in 1.5 gpm nowadays, which is not nearly enough on a private well, and we found that out the hard way when we purchased a low-flow one for our kitchen renovation. We are happy with this replacement faucet, it operates well and has an adequate flow rate. I was disappointed that it was not shipped until 8 days after I ordered it, and did not arrive until 8 days after that....not that big of a deal, but I'm used to quicker service from Amazon. I'm also disappointed in the spray modes. The product description says "two spray modes, full and needle." I thought that meant that the faucet has a total of three modes---regular faucet, full spray, and a single-hole needle spray. It does not. What the manufacturer calls "full spray" simply means regular faucet, and "needle spray" means just plain ol' spray, like you would expect any faucet sprayer to be. Not a dealbreaker for me, but I thought it was a little deceptive.

Excellent customer service
This faucet is perfect for our kitchen, not the omnipresent high arc that would be too dominant. Best of all, Hansgrohe has outstanding customer service. The spray handle had a dribble when used, all the water wasn't being diverted to the spray. It also made an occasional whistling sound. One phone call got a prompt promise to send a new spray/faucet head, no questions asked, no arguments. New faucet head arrived quickly, easy to install and works perfectly. It's tall and elegant, water control handle works smoothly and easily. It rotates between the 2 sinks smoothly. Good water pressure. From other reviews, I will need to tighten the pull out spray head maybe once a year. The hose seems sturdy. Had it for 3 months now and am very happy with it.

Don't buy this kitchen faucet
This is a horrible product. We had the older model of the same product for 12 years and it was great. We replaced it with this product, but all it does is leak from the head after you turn it off. You have to stand there and shake it to make sure it is definitely off....EVERYTIME~! Also, if you want to switch it to the "rain" like feature, you have to have the water on high. I don't like this because you can't just rinse things with low level of water. This wastes so much water and is going to raise my water bill. Don't buy it.

Nice looking faucet. Easy to install.
This faucet replaced a 15 year old Moen that looked almost the same. It was much easier to install than the Moen. This unit has a tightening ring that you fit into place by hand (from underneath the sink), then turn a couple of screws to fix firmly into place. MUCH easier than the Moen, where you had to fit a wrench onto a narrow nut in a tight place. Also, unlike the Moen, this unit did not require that I buy hoses for connection, all hoses were supplied. All said, it took me longer to remove the old faucet than to install the new one. I have to add that my level of construction/plumbing expertise in very high, so my result may not translate to yours. However, I think that this would be an easy job for anyone who is even slightly handy. I want to address a couple of complaints made about Hansgrohe faucets and their installation. This applies to other models too: 1. The screws on the fastening plate are standard slotted, not Phillips. This is a GOOD thing, not a bad thing. Phillips screws require that downward pressure (in this case "upward") be exerted into the screw to stop the bit from camming out. This makes it more difficult to exert torque (rotational tightening force, i.e.: turning the screwdriver.) The slotted screws are a benefit, not a design flaw. Robertson or Torx heads would work too, but I'll bet you don't own a screwdriver to fit those. 2. Some people complain that Hansgrohe faucets splash too much. What???? !!! Having a degree in Physics, I can tell you that splashing is caused by the force of the water hitting the sink, not due to some design flaw! Aeration increases water velocity by increasing volume, so it will increase splashing, not reduce it. This faucet is tall, so it sits high above the base of your sink. Gravity, as with any falling object, then has more time to increase the velocity of the water before it hits the sink. Hence more splash. I like the look and action of this faucet. If it fails me in any way, I will update this posting.

noce solid smooth action
still have this 3+years later and still works well. There is a tendency for the hose that attaches to the pull out part of the tap (i.e. the hand held nozzle) to come slightly loose, causing a dribble under the sink as there is nothing sustantial to grab old of when screwing them together. I fixed it by wrapping white plumbers PTFE/Teflon tape around the thread and it's not been a problem since
