Excellent Semi-Budget 1440p 155hz Monitor
Ordered VG27AQ a few weeks prior and have had zero issues with the screen so far after initial calibration/setup. Zero dead/stuck/bright pixels, lucky! For an IPS screen, it's great to look at (and extremely bright, you can use the monitor at 0 brightness and still see the picture quite well- most of the calibration profiles I've seen leave it at 0). You can see it from all angles very clearly and even from far back. I sit relatively close to the screen with my desk setup, but it's exactly what I wanted as I can only have one monitor on the desk. I have only noticed a little bit of backlight bleed in the lower right corner, but it's a very small area and overall quite acceptable for an IPS screen with such a thin bezel. Have not noticed any IPS glow when sitting dead center or even slightly off (as a note, there is always variation with manufacturing, so some monitors might have either more than mine). I have used it to play both PC and Switch, and it works great for both, no complaints (the speakers are indeed a little weak, but they are only 2 watt and more for function than real use and at least it has speakers to do so). The only unfortunate part in my temporary setup is that the MSI laptop I'm using (GS65 Stealth with RTX 2060) combined I suggest/recommend expecting to just use fullscreen settings with games on the Asus (I suspect it's more the laptop than the screen, once I build my new desktop I will confirm if this is still the case with a desktop 1070). The refresh rate is excellent, one of my older screens is an old 1080p Dell VA panel from around 2014 and the refresh rate is around 7ms so I would sometimes miss quick reaction mechanics in some games despite the nice screen quality otherwise with what it offered. I had zero build quality issues on my Asus, everything in the box looked to be in order and all included hardware was perfect and complete. For the price and what the monitor brings, it is definitely a good value as long as there aren't any pixel or manufacturing issues. There are better monitors with picture quality, but usually those are VA panels which have their own set of characteristics and a 3 year warranty (the comparable LG 27GL850 only has a 1 year warranty which is short when compared to their competitors like Asus and Acer).

TUF IPS Panel Colors are very vivid and vibrant, better than Acer IPS 27 versions.
What I like: 1- TUF IPS Panel Colors are very vivid and vibrant, better than Acer IPS 27 versions. 2 - Very good refresh rates, briefly ran AAA games, and frame rates are stable. 3 - Built in Speakers are adequate, not great 4 - Built quality superior to Acer with height, tilt, and swivel stand. Acer only tilts and swivels, not height adjustments. 5 - Abundant HDMI and DP ports with included cables. What I don't like: 1 - Speakers are ok, given the price. Some instances. I find that my Acer monitor speakers perform better. 2 - Monitor stands is good, but not as modern-looking as some of the other competitive models. 3 - Does not come in other colors, white or red. Tired of all black peripherals. 4 - Price could be more competitive, but you pay a premium for higher refresh rates with better than VA panels.

Change your refresh rate in your settings!
Amazing monitor, the colors are really nice, and the vesa mount is extremely easy to use for either the regular mount or another one. The settings are all very nice and the monitor is well made, and if you don't like tinkering with settings it's great plug in play as well.

Awesome 2k monitor
I’ve been using this ASUS 27-inch 2K monitor for a while now, and I’m really impressed. The picture is super sharp, and the colors look vibrant without feeling over-saturated. The thin bezels make it look clean and modern on my desk, and it doesn’t take up too much space. Games feel smooth and responsive, with no noticeable lag or blurring. Honestly, it’s been great for both work and gaming, and I feel like I got my money’s worth.

ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQ
This monitor has some decent specifications for the price, particularly G-Sync compatibility, low response time and 2560x1440 resolution. The picture quality is really good. I haven't had a chance to check its color accuracy but per one technical reviewer the monitor has pretty good color accuracy out of the box. I activated G-Sync on the panel and G-Sync in the Nvidia control panel and all appears to be working as advertised in that regard. I was unable to notice any increase in input lag or response time. The monitors menu shows the refresh rate and I noticed the value changing while gaming. The value matched the in-game FPS counter. Everything while gaming appeared to be smooth, without any noticeable lag, ghosting, screen tearing, etc. With overclocking "on" in the menu, I was able to change the refresh rate to 165Hz in the Nvidia Control Panel. The thin bezel looks really nice. The stand is of better build quality than other monitor stands I've had. I'm coming from an ASUS PB278Q, which is still sold here on Amazon. That is still a great IPS monitor, even after 6 years of regular use and ownership. This monitor looks pretty cool compared to that older monitor, but I'm only referring to the panel enclosure. I have these two monitors side by side at the moment and I'm surprised to say the image quality including screen brightness, uniformity and color accuracy (sRGB mode) are practically identical between the VG27AQ and the PG278Q. I was really surprised after 6 years of use. This comparison was by no means a technical review. It was just a quick observation (the monitors are connected to two different desktops). I'm sure more rigorous testing would reveal some major differences. Lastly, regarding the power supply. It appears the power supply is external for the VG27AQ. I prefer to have the power supply built into the monitor and then deal with a simple universal power cable like on the PG278Q. HDR10 seems gimmicky. I actually thought the picture quality was better with HDR10 turned off in Windows 10. With HDR switched to "on" in Windows 10 "Display settings", the colors and brightness on the desktop were worse. I messed around with the slider and then tried Battlefield V. I was not blown away by the difference. I'll do some more experimenting with this in the future. I'm sure this feature will be more useful as games and Windows 10 adapts to more monitors being HDR capable. Right now though, the feature is not what I expected. In summary, this panel is an excellent option for someone really wanting an IPS monitor with G-Sync compatibility. When shopping for a monitor, I wouldn't pay too much attention to response times and other gimmicky features. I would focus on build quality, screen type (IPS vs VA vs TN), resolution and size. This monitor checked all the appropriate boxes for me and was priced below other ASUS monitors with similar features. Would I buy it again? I probably would if it was on sale!

Gorgeous Monitor - Minor Issues
This has been an absolutely beautiful, crisp, and wonderful upgraded monitor for me. It hits all the good boxes: clean and crisp picture, no noticeable screen lags, many nice features. But it has a few considerations that may be deal breakers. Pros: - The display is crisp and bright, and had no dead pixels or any issue on arrival. It doesn't have any screen ghosting or any refresh issues readily noticeable, even under heavy load. - The multiple inputs feature is easy to use and a nice addition, and all inputs test with the same quality. - The fine-tuning options of the display seem robust (but that may just be advances in general monitor technology). "Cons:" - The mounting area for this monitor is recessed into the body, and since my current monitor mount has been with me for 2 moves and a decade of time, I don't have the hardware to add it to my existing monitor mount, as the mounting area isn't flat on the back of the monitor. I suspect a newer mount would support it, but I don't know. (I expected this possibility when ordering so it's more just annoying than it is a problem) - The built in speakers aren't the best, and are limited in volume and their ability to not sound like they've been run through a 6" tin pipe. That said, if you're not aiming to run high-end media with the audio through the monitor (such as streaming, gaming, or music) most audio "issues" are passible. The main issue is convincing Windows which speaker set to use for which application, but that's not the monitor's fault. - Lateral mouse movements are considerably quicker (more responsive) than vertical movements in a Windows environment for this display, and will feel more responsive on the x-axis and sluggish against the y-axis for similar mouse movements. In most gaming environments I've tested with, they allow scaling to x and y sensitivity that can help mitigate the issue, but it might just be best to learn a new movement feel. Overall, it's a fantastic piece of hardware, but you should be aware of possible drawbacks just in case.

Does what it's going to be bought for
IPS monitor, 144hz, g-sync compatible. Picture quality is great, brightness is good (better than my value TN panel I bought), monitor indeed reaches 144hz (has sub 6.7 millisecond pixel response times) and can use g-sync to improve frame rate fluidity for when your games don't reach up to 144hz 100% of the time (which is going to be most cards barring a 2080Ti). Panel can move in the various forms: monitor can spin 90degrees left and right like a satellite dish, can go into both portrait and landscape mode, can be adjusted up and down ~5inches reaching all the way down to its base. I use it for the display port to my gpu, hdmi to my video game console, and the audio jack is helpful so that my speakers can be used for both my pc and console without having to reconnect them to anything. In my research I've heard the brightness for this (350cad) is apparently low, but it's actually just a smidge bit TOO bright even at lowest brightness when I mostly use it (at night in a very dimly lit room). But it's just a smidge so the strain isn't so bad and again that's at pure night time no lights out and with some quite dim LED lights. So I only wish I could lower the brightness a little bit more actually. But that's for my needs. If you've got a very lit room, then the brightness might actually be too low. But if you use your PC at night, brightness is not an issue. Also I heard the LG monitor (27gl850) is better but that one's so popular so it's either out of stock/getting overpriced way more often. This one's very satisfactory for about the same price (probably a little cheaper now so it'd be on equal value).

Good HDR, G-Sync, Bright, Clear, and Colours!
There is no RGB on this, which is a serious oversight and unforgiveable. How am I supposed to let people know how awesome my gaming rig is without it? Seriously... but anyway... I do not play pro e-sports or anything. I replaced a B**Q Z*w*e, and this is just as fast response but the refresh is higher (165Hz currently). The G-Sync is nice, I do not see tearing like I used to on other brand monitor occasionally. I generally change the settings in multiplayer games to get at least 165fps and it all still looks beautiful. The colors are a lot more vivid than the other monitor was. You _can_ change this monitor to have all the contrast, darkness revealing, etc. that other monitors do. Watching videos on this is amazing. It's beautiful, and the HDR is lit. I had no idea some of these games popped out like that. The sun is almost blinding when you look at it, and all the other things you want from a great ultra-quality experience. The speakers built-in are really low-end. They are weak, but they do not distort, so there's that. I have them on 100% for windows sounds and such when I don't have my headphones on, and I occasionally do not hear things with just background noise. If you want great audio experience, this is not it. I am not deducting points for this because it's a computer monitor and not a TV. The stand does not wobble, does not lean, it is very solid and the panel doesn't shake just from typing on the desk like others have done. the pedestal is adjustable, turns 90 degrees one direction. The bezels are slim, the material does not reflect the screen The Display Port input handles 165Hz no problems at all. Not even the slightest flicker on any occasion. Other brand monitor had issues on the DP with 144Hz and I had to use a nice 4K rated HDMI instead. DP and HDMI on this are awesome! If you put a 4K signal into this monitor, it will accept it and just shrink the display to fit. I did this by accident with the Xbox One X and was quite surprised. It looks nice, but then I set it to 1440p and things are beautiful.

Out of this world quality and control
The display is amazing for it has a feature set to customise the brightness and contrast with shadows and highlights which i've never had on a display before so all my games pictures and videos look stunning. It's incredibly bright, it is a bit too intense at the highest settings which is great for shade range.

Amazing choice for the price
Having 75 hz monitor before now I feel like I got myself glasses to see better. The only point is that 165 hz is not an included feature, it can only be enabled as an extra OC option, they should have mentioned that, but it’s not a big deal. Overall really nice screen for fps games
