G-sync and 100Hz capable
I bought this cable to output a RTX 2080 Razor Blade Pro 17 on a 100Hz G-sync enabled Omen x35 monitor. I did read other reviews saying that sometimes it does not output at the correct frequencies, but I only experienced this once - the first time I plugged in the cable. After I unplugged/plugged it back in, and configured the monitor under Nvidia Control Panel, it now defaults to the correct 100Hz every time I dock my laptop. Works great, and G-sync is enabled!

Go with what works
Works fine. Bundled in monitor arm with other cables no emf bleed out so it is well shielded.

Solved HDCP problem on LG 34WK95U-W (5k2k)
This cable solved my problem with HDCP contents on my LG 34WK95U-W monitor. The monitor did not support HDCP over Thunderbolt 3 for whatever reason. Bought this cable to connect the Thunderbolt port on my Lenovo P1 laptop to the DisplayPort port on the monitor. I got full resolution (5120 x 2160 60Hz) & sound on my monitor and the HDCP problem is now solved.

Didn't work for my setup
Black screen when connecting a PC's 2080TI display port output to an Apple Pro Display XDR's Thunderbolt 3 input. Try the Moshi cord instead if you're trying to connect to an Apple XDR display.

Macbook Pro
This cable worked perfectly for my 2018 MacBook pro to link between Thunderbolt 3 and my monitor's DisplayPort, to receive the monitor's max 144hz refresh rate.

It works as advertized with Macbook Pro 2019!!!
As another reviewer wrote it, Open up System Preferences -> Displays -> Hold down the Option Key while clicking the Scaled radio button. You should now have access to the higher resolution option: 5120 x 2880. I used Thunderbolt 3 previously and I did not have access to the higher resolution options.

Worgks great with Macboo Pro 16'' and a Samsung CRG9 (5120x1440)
It does what it is supposed to do: I can drive a Samsung CRG9 (5120x1440) at 120Hz from a MacBook Pro 16 inches. Solid construction. Recommended.
