Love it !
Wonderful bird feeder just what I was looking for.Its big!!Its also well made. The first one I ordered got smashed by the post office and was undeliverable .The second one I ordered came with the top of the sides split and a section of the roof off.It appeared the jig to insert the screws was way off and spoilt large chunks out. Any way after much disappointment the third one was perfect. I love it and so do the birds who are visiting it ad we speak. It was worth the wait and I will purchase another one to replace an old feeder.Amazon customer service was outstanding as usual and made the whole replacement process practically painless. Now I am one happy camper! Thanks, Amazon.

Not well designed
Roof does not extend out far enough to protect seed from rain and snow, which quickly leads to nasty molding and insect infestation in the feeder (unless you live in the desert, perhaps). Extending the roof edge out another inch on each side would solve most of this design problem. A latch on the roof, to keep raccoons and 'possums out, is also highly recommended. Oh well, at least I got a couple of years out of it...

High quality product
Better then I could have hoped. Very sturdy well built product. Came packed well I'm box. Very nice wood. Looks and feels like it will last a very long time. Would highly recommend this product to anyone. You will need to order the post holder as well to mount it on the post. I didn't at first but there is no way to mount it to pole without it. It has a triangle piece down center bottom of feeder to keep the seed flowing out for the birds.

Stovall Extra Large Barn Feeder
I bought this extra large Stovall Barn feeder to use in Colorado at an elevation of 8600 feet under dry, harsh conditions. It is holding up well. I love the fact that it holds a little more than 20 pounds of seed at one filling. The only challenge was getting the feeder mounted as it has no built-in hooks. We secured the platform to a tree branch and wound wire around the feeder to anchor it to the tree. It's quite possible it is too heavy to hang and should be mounted on a platform. The feeder did not come with mounting suggestions. We like the feeder so well that we intend to purchase another one.

This big bird feeder gets the job done
This is a heavy duty bird feeder to be sure. The squirrels like it just fine as well. Owls like the squirrels. Kinda gives a whole new twist to "bird feeder". I generally use small sunflower seeds. These disperse nicely -- no problems with feed getting hung up in the feeder. Mounted mine on a 4"x4" post + the mounting block you can buy. This has faced the worst mother nature can throw at it and come through with flying colors

Damaged by whomever built it. Should have never passed quality control.
Damaged at the factory. Where the screws were put in, the wood is split and splintered. I can not believe that who ever made this did not see it. It was the first thing I noticed when I unpacked it. Poor workmanship for the price I paid.

I like the design and construction of these feeders
Bought three of these feeders as replacements for the ones I currently have. I like the design and construction of these feeders.

Well constructed and easy for larger birds to access the feeding tray
Well constructed and easy for larger birds to access the feeding tray. I like wedge inside the feeder that directs the seeds toward the feeding tray and keeps water from pooling in the bottom of the feeder. Narrow opening at the top is a bit tricky to pour seeds into until a process is devised to facilitate the operation.
