Get Your Greens In, Y'all
Love the flavor. The cut wakame is the perfect size for miso soup. I was worried that the hydrated seaweed would be slimy, but the texture is great. Thick enough to have a bite to it (think thicker than spinach in a soup, but not by a large amount). The health benefits and nutrients are just a bonus. I get my greens in while having great tasting food - can't ask for more than that! My recipe is: 8g miso powder w/dashi (or 18g/1TBSP miso paste w/dashi) 200g water (or 240g/1C if using miso past) 1.5g cut wakame optional: 1.2g gochugaru for a little spice optional: diced/sliced white/yellow onion or green onion optional: 35g tofu (or more) To a mug or small bowl of just-boiled water, add all the dry ingredients and let sit for 2-3 minutes (if adding paste, let all ingredients except paste sit for a couple minutes, then stir in paste. Reheat if necessary). You can also add everything to a pot and cook quickly on the stove. Just be sure not to boil the miso paste, as this kills nutrients, if you care about that. It's a great breakfast side-dish, and is also great for a savory snack.

Clean, not overly salty, easy to use for many dishes & drinks.
Best value for WAKAME seaweeds. This 16 ounces of dried Wakame seaweed will last a long time. To be able to measure the correct amount of Wakame I consume daily, I use my KRUPS ELECTRIC COFFEE GRINDER to reduce the dried Wakame flakes to an almost powder form to add to foods and drinks. I add a 1/4 teaspoon of ground Wakame to two scrambled eggs for my breakfast meals. I sprinkle a small amount to miso soup and several other dishes for more umami flavour. This large will last me a long time. This is my second package of Wakame from the same brand, Shirakiku.

great value
A bag lasts a long time for home use. These kelp is a bit heavier and chewier than some I have tried. I happen to like it, but some may find this too chewier.

Great Wakame
Bought a few times. A huge bag will make ridiculous amounts when rehydrated. I love this stuff.

Big bag
Tasty and a bigger bag than I expected. For one person you need less than a teaspoon per bowl of ramen, as each tiny piece expands greatly when boiled. This should last me a while.

Food Poisoning and OOPS! All Leaf
Got food poisoning for the first time from this stuff. Was pretty cool spending a week on the toilet or stuck in bed, had a lot of time to reflect. I was also misled, fairly certain this said it was for seaweed salad but it was all leaf so it's not anything like what you get at restaraunts and such, this is more for like cooking in something, which is what I did, and oh boy did I regret it.

I add seaweed to Asian soups like ramen. I bought a set of quick-brewing tonkotsu ramen for lunch at work, I add fried meat cut into pieces, a boiled egg cut in half, shallots if I have them, and, of course, my favorite wakame seaweed from this set. This ramen is simply gorgeous. These seaweeds are crunchy, but they are tender, cut into convenient slices, contain iron, iodine and bromine. This is a wonderful preventative for iodine deficiency and thyroid problems.
