Ultimate Om

I'm a Reiki master and energy healer working in New York City, and incorporate several of Jonathan Goldman's CDs in my work. This CD, "Ultimate OM" is in my opinion one of the most profound recordings ever made. It is not possible to hear this -- what shall I call it? Sound? Music? Energy? -- and not have a positive effect in body, mind, and soul.The technical aspects of the recording are interesting, but the energetic effects are what draw me and my clients into sacred space. I could write many paragraphs about the healings that I and others have received while "Ultimate OM" is flowing. This is the sound of many waters; it is the sound of life; it is the sound of healing. OM is a human sound, yet utterly divine -- the point in human experience where (and when) the infinite touches the organic, making the two one.I am glad to give a strong recommendation for "Ultimate OM" because it is an effective and beautiful instrument for doing good in the lives of humans, and in our sacred earth.Thank you, Jonathan, for this gift.

Ultimate OM is one of my favorite recordings. It is composed only of voices, but it does not sound like a voice recording at all! I believe Jonathan had the singers visualize love and light when this recording was made, and love can definitely be felt in this recording, it is very soothing when played at moderate volume. When played at higher volume, it is very healing. I have experienced some emotional healing with this recording, and it was partly responsible for curing my sensitivity to gluten a few years ago, although this can be an uncomfortable experience as the emotions are released.The real OM vibration is the bridge between human consciousness and Cosmic Consciousness, according to Paramahansa Yogananda. The real OM can be heard only in deep meditation, and there is a special technique Yoganandaji teaches for hearing it.My other favorite healing recording is,  Mantra for Healing - by Sacred Sound Choir , which is absolutely Divine.

This CD is accompanied by a small booklet explaining the uses for and the recording of Ultimate Om. Reading the booklet, I believe, is really helpful towards appreciating the CD. If you just try to hear this CD cold employing just the intellect and/or without having read the booklet, it could prove to be challenging to listen to. I think those who left unfavorable reviews may have been of such inclinations.It is very, very soothing to listen to. I have never heard anything that asked so little of me yet gave me so much inner silence. I can't say more than that because, well, all you hear is OM, LOL!I also must say that I can't hear all of the "layers" of sound on the MP3 version of this same track as I do the CD. It's still everything I want from it (blissful,) but somehow it's lacking just a sliver.

I don't know what I was expecting, but I'm not terribly impressed with this despite the hoopla about the golden ratio.I find that "Continuous Om" would be a better name for this piece (it is one track, about 71 minutes long) because the wayit is performed, sampled, recorded is an overlap of voice such that it sounds like 71 minutes of one continuous om.It doesn't have the start/stop of chanting om (which I like).The first time I listened to it I actually found it annoying.The second time it was less so.The third time I found parts of it actually did sound a little different.Given enough time, I'm hoping that I actually find this to be for me what other reviewers found.

Ho Hum . I have JG Chakra Chants ,which is great . This is one long ommm . To subtle for my non specialist usage .

This CD by Jonathan Goldman is one of my favorite to listen to at bedtime. I feel centered and loved. It helps me to relax, think ahead, and feel connected to God (my Higher Source). I get to the point where I feel so peaceful, I fall asleep. I awake at some point later, remove my ear buds and still feel the peace. Back to sleep I go.

I Love All of his music.Soothing, with a purpose.I will always be a faithful customer to his music.

The person who gave this only one star evidently did not understand the point of the CD. It is not music to listen to in the manner of pop music. It is meant for meditating and healing. It is over one hour of a continuous OM with minor background variations. The effect is powerful.

I bought this to replace an original from years ago. I play it nearly all the time and it’s a favourite for meditation. It creates a beautiful calm atmosphere.

**Update**Tonight in August 2020:After 15 years of owning this album, I still listen to this album on repeat), in my sleep states, and after listening to chakra chants(by JG).Highly recommended to advanced Lightworkers , and those who wish to clear their auras thru the modality of SOuND healing.

Case received with a crack in it. Cd seems unaffected but as a Christmas present. Disappointing

Really good cd. Powerful to uplift and heal.I am in an Inner Peace group and we regularly use it in the background during our meetings turned down low.I am a big fan of sound as a healing modality and this is really good.

Exactly what it says it is, extraordinary vocalising sends a deep vibration within your mind and relaxes your inner spirit.
