Nice copy of an essential book for Nurse Practitioners
I think every NP should have a copy. I update mine every few years to a more recent one - not the most recent as those are quite expensive. Earlier editions can usually be found for a reasonable price. Material is hard to keep updated because NP laws from state to state are changing by the day. Has a lot of other useful information for NP practice. Definitely worth having as part of my NP library.

A Must-Have for NPs
When I first saw this book on the list of required texts for my NP program I rolled my eyes and decided I would just rent it for a semester. However, after referencing it for a contract negotiation project I changed my mind and paid the rest in order to purchase. Every NP should have a copy of this book in his/her office -- Great reference for contracts, charting, supervising physician issues, malpractice insurance, etc.

Good read
I bought this book during NP school but reading the whole book was not required of my program... this was a nice gem to find in my Kindle 2 years later and important read now that I’m out of school.

Excellent book! It is well written
Excellent book! It is well written, easy to read, engaging and explaining various legislative issues APNs should be familiar with. The level of the text probably basic and intermediate. Must read and know if you care not only about clinical knowledge and skills but also about topics on laws and regulations affecting APNs practice. What is additional value, you can get a glimpse how the APN's practice in your state varies from the one in other states.

Vital Book for all NPs
Every NP should have this book! Yes, the content is not our usual blood and guts that we so enjoy as NPs. However, it is full of everything we never learned as NPs to function in the legal and business world of medicine and health care. You will know how valuable it is once you're out there.

Really enjoyed this easy to read
Really enjoyed this easy to read, legal advisor. Hunting for new grad NP jobs across the nation and it was really helpful comparing state practice rights and scope of practice.

Very valuable
Buppert has done an amazing job of compiling the this book with the statutes and regulations for all 50 states on the practice of the NP. It is a must have for NP or any one in collaborative practice agreement.
