So far the clips seem to be working fine but we have yet to have any wind or storms to really put them to a test. The only thing a person should consider is how thick a material you are going to use it for -- double heavy canvas/tarp material will probably be too thick to get the clips on as they don't spread too wide -- single layer canvas/tarp material should work fine. I'm using them on my boat cover for extra anchor points and just was able to get them over the enclosed cord that was sewn in the edge of the cover. I would be careful about putting too much tension on the screw as it could strip and I really don't know why a person would as they seem to be clamped down quite good with just a good snug turn on the screw. I'm anchoring some of them with bungee cords and some with nylon straps with no problem.

In addition to being very sturdy for holding banners, tarps, and tablecloths in place, they are great for hanging a heavy duty full sized yearly calendar. Those little holes never seem to line up and they tear by the month of March. These little critters grab the top center of the page every month, doing no damage. My clips have been used to hang a large banner in the front yard since before the election and to hold the large Irish calendar with no complaints or failures. Great product!!!

I’m not sure what the clips are designed to attach to - they don’t expand to be very wide and it’s tedious to expand them. You could maybe use them to clip to a rope or another tarp but even the. I don’t see them staying in place. I was trying to attach a tarp on the side of my house to a thin piece of glass and they wouldn’t expand enough. It’s a good idea but I’m not sure what they could be used for. As usual, Amazon makes it very easy to return them.

I have a big blanket that weighs heavily to cover my garage. So I bought the MagicSolutions Tarp Clips and I must admit that they are easy to use & give a good grip, large enough mounting holes and strong material to hold .I love the way they've come with much better clamps that does not damage the material.Theses tarp clips can withstand water while firmly supporting my blanket. Great product that exceeded my expectations

My patio curtains tend to blow around wildly and I've had difficulty keeping weights attached to them. Even large binder clips didn't hold when the wind was strong. These clamps are perfect so far. They are easy to attach and they cling even to a thin piece of fabric. It has been pretty windy (11-15 mph) since I put them on and not one has slipped a bit. Good stuff.

The tarp clips with carabiners that I received were unacceptable.The plastic clips would not open wide enough at the "mouth" to fit onto a tarp.The carabiner D clips would not fit into the holes on the plastic clips.The two parts of the assembly would not connect together.I was unable to use any of the tarp clips.The supplier of the parts needs to completely redesign and properly engineer the parts so that they will work.

I usee these camping this past weekend and they worked great. I used 4 of them to hang lights from the top of my tent and it was super windy all weekend long and thankfully they didnt fall on my head. I also used them to clip the flaps of sleeping tent to the flaps of my screen tent. I wish they opened a bit wider you have to feed in one piece of fabric at a time, but they lock down on the fabric tight.

I had a light cover for a patio swing. Problem is when it gets too windy the cover would fly off. I was going to use grommets and bungee cords to secure the cover. These clamps came up and thought they would be better then putting holes in the cover. Found them easy to use. Have not had them long enough to know if they will hold in high wind but for now they are doing their job.
