Grace USA - Hook and Pick Set - 6-Piece Set - HP6- Gunsmith Tools and Accessories

Although originally designed for use by gunsmiths, these hooks and picks belong in the toolkit of every woodworker, furniture restorer/refinisher, painter, homeowner et al. So far, I've used them to strip old paint from impossible-to-reach corners and other nooks and crannies. They are also great for removing the "burr" from freshly cut mortises and cleaning out drill holes.The picture posted on Amazon is unintentionally misleading. Even with their wooden handles, these are very small tools (about the size of dental implements). The semi-finished handles are both practical (i.e. they provide a good grip, especially in Houston, where humidity often approaches the dew point), and esthetically pleasing.A word of advice: Grace uses high-carbon tool steel, which is superior to stainless in many ways, but does tend to rust if exposed to the elements. Always keep these tools oiled and stored in the supplied vinyl pouch.In sum, an outstanding American-made product at an "import" price. You won't be disappointed.

This Grace set is super nice even at full price, the case they come with and the quality of the tools are worth picking up if you like old school American products. You can tell they are hand made as the press marks aren't in the same spot on every tool and they aren't "perfect" but they are straight where they are supposed to be, and curved where they are supposed to be. Seems to be a product that is still being made with class and pride. Will update if anything changes.

Those times when you just need to poke something or hook something or scratch something If you have this set you will be able to. Solid tools. Look good. They do what I ask.

The tools when properly used assist an armorer in completing many tasks required when working on a firearm each tool helps you to perform specific actions that without them would require a considerable amount of improvisation. These tools are well made eliminating the possibility of a break during critical times of disassembly & assembly of a firearm. I would recommend them to anyone having a need for them. Including hobbyists and miniature equipment builders

When I ordered these I didn't realize they were made in the USA. I had an idea of that when I opened the package and noticed right away how well crafted these picks are. It is obvious by the high quality materials and craftsmanship that this US manufacturer carries a lot of pride in their products as well as taking great care in their manufacturing of their items.Well done and thank you!

I needed a pick to do a job. I decided to get the whole set. Glad I did. Worked well. I use it all the time. Love the wooden handles.
