I bought these long reach food thermometers to use while grilling food to protect my hands from the grill heat. For that purpose, they are 5-star. Response time and accuracy seem to be good (have no access to calibration equipment). Well built but because of probe length, handle with care for cleaning and storage. The temp scale of 550F is twice what I need to measure "done" on the grill, so resolution is OK; not great. If you wear glasses for close up, you'll need your glasses to read! Perhaps there is a 250F full scale 15" reach unit available with larger print, which would be better for grilling.

Lost my thermometer for my Turkey fryer. These were such a good value, now I have a spare since it comes with 2. Worked perfectly.

The thermometers both work great. Love the clip and the length of the rod. They are great for water bath canning and cheese processing.

Work well. Easy to ready and has a clip to hold on to side of the pan.

We haven’t had a chance to use it yet but I’m sure we’ll be using it on our next turkey frying adventure. I will update when we use it.
