My son is fascinated with vacuum cleaners. I don't know why, but he's just into anything that "works". So, he'll cry and want me to take out the vacuum (real one) for him to play with all the time. So, I got this toy so that he could "help" mommy vacuum. He carries it around everyplace with him! The attachments come off, and he's able to get into corners and all. The motor gives a soft hum and the particles inside fly around to look like it's really vacuuming. I guess it's supposed to really have some suction. I didn't buy it for this purpose, so I wasn't expecting much. I don't feel anything, but I did notice that there was a bit of dust in the removable catch tray. This is a really fun toy for a curious toddler.

This vacuum is a clear win with our toddler. As a parent though, it's got some issues. 1. The fake on/off buttons are removable and not toddler safe. Easy to swallow. Easy fix though, superglue them. 2. The hose is very flimsy, and easily kink-able. It will clearly not last. It's the weak link. Hoping our toddler outgrows this before he destroys it. :-) 3. The Vacuum handle/wand attachment is just by friction. There is no twist lock. As a result it's almost never attached, and our toddler gets frustrated with it. If there were a simple twist lock it would be much more secure and there would be no frustration.

Haven't had any problems with pieces breaking or not fitting together, or any problems with the hose, though we've only been playing with it for a few days. Some reviewers have said they were disappointed with the size, we however think the size is perfect in relation to my handheld Shark vacuum. All of the little attachments are pretty neat and cute, while also pretty realistic. Wish it had a tad bit more suction. Also it loses its tiny bit of suction after only a few pieces of debris are picked up and block the small holes in the "debris bin" where the suction comes from (we used tiny bits of styrofoam as our "debris" to play with). I thought it was going to come with the small white balls you see in the photos but it does not. Also there are two modes. The first one has zero suction and instead makes the colored bits spin around in the big display window/cylinder. The second mode is only suction, and no spinning of the colored bits. Would have liked to see the bits spinning on the second mode as well. Regardless of my complaints, my 3 and 5 year old daughters are still enjoying this vacuum.

The first thing I noticed when this vaccuum arrived was how small it is, and while it is smaller than expected, my son doesnt seem to mind at all. He immediately took took to it and "vacuumed" my whole house for what seemed like hours even without batteries. The vacuum does take 4 C batteries, which I don't keep around the house. So, I had to make a trip to pick them up, no big deal. The vacuum is very pleasantly quiet on both settings. It does have SOME suction, but not much. It picks up very light, small debris which is a plus for a childs toy. All in all, my son loves this! Its keeping him away from my vacuum, so it does its job :)

I am only moved to write reviews on items that I feel the consensus review does not properly reflect. We were optimistic upon ordering this toy, but now have the following gripes after 2hrs of usage: 1. The plastic wheels make a horrible plastic-on-plastic grinding/moaning noise when the unit is rolled across the floor. Hideous noise. 2. The "real suction" is actually not powerful enough to lift a single crumb. Of the two modes (one moves balls around the chamber, the other puts suction to the hose) only the first is usable. 3. No buttons, no lights, really not much fun. 4. Build quality is pretty bad. Sure, it's a plastic toy, but the hoses pop off with little resistance. I would return this in 1 second if it wouldn't upset my daughter. Despite the horrible product flaws, she figures that is what a toy vaccum is meant to be. Avoid! I do not know if Dyson licensed it's name to be used on this product or what, but they are harming their brand by even associating with this toy.

I watched a Youtube video of someone making their own vacuums for Luigi Mansion costume. And I made one for the halloween. It was just perfect. I highly recommend it if you wanna DIY it.

We loved the idea that this vacuum is supposed to have suction. Let me save you the trouble by informing you that the miniscule amount of "suction" that this toy has is laughable. If you place your hand under the wand end, you may just barely feel the air movement if you concentrate really hard; like trying to hear the ocean in a seashell. If you align the wand directly over a small lightweight piece of debris, it *might* lift said debris just barely into the wand head. If you're super lucky and the debris is the size of an atom (slight exaggeration), it might actually reach the debris compartment [Insert laughing and eye-rolling]. I thought our unit was defective until I read everyone else's reviews to discover that it's just the <poor> deign of this toy. Seriously, it would have been better for them to skip the suction function and just focus on the fun aspects of the toy itself if they weren't going to actually give it enough suction to pick a few things up like a dust-buster. It has a toggle switch that can be in the off position, or a setting to make the colorful pellets in the canister swirl around, or the "suction" mode, which does not swirl the colorful pellets around. It's too bad that it can't swirl the pellets while the suction is also engaged. Note that the cord retract button and the power button are just for show, and are not functioning buttons. The colorful pellets inside the wide attachment roller head only pop around if the tiny wheels on the underside are rolling. They do not pop around by the suction or battery power of the unit. The wheels are so small and without substantial tread that they don't want to roll on our hardwood or our carpet. Thus, the pellets inside don't really pop around. They just lay stagnant inside. The hose is a very flimsy and thin plastic. I have no doubt that it will quickly kink and crack when it eventually pinches. Finally, the stick part of the vacuum does not attach to stand upright on the main canister. The photos advertising this product are a little misleading because it depicts the stick in an unrealistic upright position, it appears to be a little photoshop maybe trying to give you an idea of what it would look like in your toddlers hand? It has a spot where it looks like it could attach to the base, but there are no connection points there where I would expect. The purple piece where the attachments connect on the wand almost look like it could be an attachment spot, but I think its just a faux release button for the attachments. This is day two and my toddler has had some fun with it, but I'm not sure how long it will hold attention. I wish I could return this without any penalty, but we purchased it well before Christmas. Even on sale, I don't feel that it warrants the price. I would pay no more than maybe $15 for this toy knowing then what I know now. Anything more than that is asking too much in my opinion.

Mein 6 jähriger Sohn liebt Staubsauger fast über alles und hat schon verschiedene Kindermodelle zu Hause. Nun wünschte er sich zu Weihnachten unbedingt einen kleinen Dyson - oder einen großen richtigen für Erwachsene, aber Hauptsache ein Dyson. Ich war schon fast drauf und dran eine Wahnsinnstat zu begehen und mir einen echten teuren zu bestellen, obwohl wir eigentlich einen guten und fast neuen Dirt Devil zu Hause haben, da schaute ich am 22. Dezember 2015 doch noch mal ins Internet, ob es nicht vielleicht so eine Kinderversion davon gibt. Und siehe da, sofort gefunden auf Amazon! Noch in der Nacht bestellt und am 24. Dezember dank Amazon Prime kam der Sauger pünktlich an. Mein Sohn war ganz aus dem Häuschen und hat ihn sofort gestartet. Er ist angenehm leise, stört also keines Wegs beim TV schauen oder während ich telefoniere, er ist schön handlich und erfüllt alle Ansprüche an so ein Modell. Preis - Leistung ist top. Die Verpackung war auch sehr gut, Dyson Karton war in einer etwas größeren Amazon Kartonage und dazu noch ausgepolstert, damit beim Versand nichts passiert. Der Zusammenbau ist sehr einfach und die im Filter vorhandenen bunten Kügelchen (kommen nicht aus dem Sauger raus) tanzen auf der ersten Saugstufe. Auf der zweiten Saugstufe routiert die "Teppichbürste" und auch da tanzen ganz fröhlich die bunten Kügelchen. Alles in allem ist mein Sohn sehr glücklich und spielt jetzt schon die zweite volle Woche täglich damit. Und wenn er irgendwann wieder einen weiteren haben möchte, werden wir das andere etwas größere Modell, welches auch hier bei Amazon erhältlich ist, bestellen. Ah ja, das Gewicht des Saugers ist auch super, also sehr leicht für Kinder zu tragen und zu bewegen.

Elle s'en sert tout le temps et maintenant, maman faire le ménage sans se faire voler son aspirateur tout le temps. Le jouet n'aspire presque pas mais le bruit est très réaliste mais pas fort ce qui est parfait pour tout le monde : Elle a l'impression d'avoir un vrai aspirateur et maman entend un son léger qui n'est pas agaçant. Finalement, ma fille et ma petite-fille sont toutes les deux aux anges... Aussi, si votre enfant est plus attiré par le visuel, l'aspirateur a un second mode où l'aspirateur ne fait plus de bruit mais où l'on voit des billes de couleurs virevolter dans le cyclone. C'est magique. Donc, peu importe ce que votre enfant aime avec l'aspirateur, il va adorer ce "Dyson".

Grandson absolutely loved it but I can't wait to the batteries run out super delivery once again from Amazon keep up the good work
