Thunderbolt Dock USB-C Cable for Dell Docking Station Thunderbolt WD15 Dock Compatible Dell DPN 3V37X 03V37X Docking Station Cable

First of all, there were two holes in the plastic that were missing so that the cable could be inserted into the docking station body. Second it is very short (which isn't a big deal). Once both of those things were sorted, I am finding that this cable does not support the Displayport over USB-C protocol.The existing dock cable had a D logo on it which I find out means it has the necessary parts to be a displayport cable. The replacement cable does not allow my computer to detect my monitor, so I am forced to connect it directly to the PC via HDMI. I would love to just return the cable as it does not work as advertised, but it does allow me to connect my Ethernet and several usb peripherals over USB-C which is mildly convenient for 30$.If someone can show me that the cable does indeed support DisplayPort over USB-C, then I will gladly change my review as it's an otherwise decently put together cable.

I purchased this for a Dell WD15 dock. The cable does not fit into the dock.
