Baxton Studio Bruce Modern Office Chair, Walnut/Black

I’d give this negative stars if I could. I don’t review products typically because most companies are pretty good and honest and stand by their products. This company does not. RUN AWAY!! Their products may look good, but are poor quality and their customer service is absolutely terrible. I ordered this chair and it sat in its box for two months because my office was under construction. After it was complete I unboxed the chair, built it and it looked great. However, about 45 days after using it the piston which the chair sits on stopped working. It would only sit at the lowest position and if I tried to raise it the chair would lower back down as soon as I sat in it. I made the company aware of the problem and it took a month for them to get back to me. After stringing me along for another month they said I would need to purchase the part because it was outside of the 60 day warranty. I told them the chair didn’t even work for 60 days and I didn’t take it out of the box for 2 months. They then tried to pawn me off to Amazon and said it’s their problem. I spoke with Amazon and they explained that warranty issues need to go through the manufacturer which makes sense because that is who makes the product. I spoke with Paul Shepherd and Tiffany Fuentes at Baxton Studio and they told me I’d have to pay for a new piston if I wanted one. Obviously, this company does not stand by their products and they didn’t seem surprised that the chair was no longer working. Unless you want a cheap product that will fall apart soon after you purchase it don’t buy from this company!!

The chair arrived within 3 days of ordering! It only took us about 15 minutes to put it together. The directions were weak but with a little common sense, we figured it out. The chair is very attractive. It spins smoothly and raises up and down with ease. It seems to be pretty comfortable but I'm not sure if I would want to sit in it for an eight hour day. We had a desk in our family room that needed a new chair so basically we bought it for looks. For the price, I would recommend this chair and am pleased with my purchase.

Bootie hugging comfort and high-end style what could be better? This is by far my favorite office chair I've ever had. There aren't any arms so it fits under my desk but it still has that little wing on the side so I have more support than a standard task chair that leaves you feeling like you're sitting on a stool. The back is the perfect height for my small 5'2" frame and the top hits just below by shoulder blades so I can twist in my chair and still have lumbar support. Don't worry that it looks like there's not much cushion on the seat I haven't had a single "bad back" day since I got it.

This chair feel sturdy and comfortable, and looks great once it's put together. However, if you bump the wooden part up against anything - say, the desk it's presumably being used to sit at - it'll easily chip the wood finish off and leave a noticeably lighter material showing. Even though we've only had this chair a few months, there are several of these marks all along the edges - and it's not like we're slamming the chair into the desk! If you can deal with this issue in order to have a really affordable Eames-style chair, I'd say it's worth it... but if you're the kind of person who this will really bother, I'd suggest turning elsewhere.

Great value, excellent lines, very sturdy. I bought one and then 7 more to distribute around the office.

Nice chair for the price. Looks good, comfortable. The seat cushion is not quite centered where it is glued in place which might annoy the pedantic, but I don't care. I dropped a star because the recline action squeaks which sometimes annoys me. Good chair though and good price.

the chair it's very nice, it gets kind of hot and it's definitely not a chair you want to spend long hours! I bought a pillow to support my back and it works. after 2 months one side of the seat handles (the top right part of the curvy side of the seat) it's peeling off, any sugestions on how to fix it?

I Ended up ordering a second one after I have received my first one! It is really confortable! It has a soft leather fabric on it, and the grain patter of the wood was the perfect final touch that I was looking for! It is also very strong structurally. I assembled it in 15min!

It was easyto assemble and had a heavy frame but the quality of the vinyl was cheap looking and very dhiny.

Chair is great. The wood varnish chips, scratches super easily though so wish that was made better but overall happy.

Love it... well made and comfy...
