IS this graphic card GDDR5 or GDDR3'???

GDDR5. It is EVGA GeForce GT 740 SC, the title doesn't mention 'SC' but the details do. The part number for this card is 04G-P4-3748-KR, the four memory modules are Samsung K4G41325FC-HC04. According to:http://www.samsung.com/global/business/semiconductor/file/product/graphic_product_guide_nov_12-0.pdf the 'G' after 'K4' indicates the memory modules are GDDR5.

Is it a plug and play graphics card or will i have to power it with my power supply?

The page is for both the DDR3 and GDDR5 versions of the card. It seems the DDR3 cards are powered from the PCI-E slot, the GDDR5 cards need to be powered from your PSU with the supplied 6 Pin/Molex Connector.

would this graphics card be compatible with an inspiron 570 desktop?

Matt,While your motherboard does have the PCI Express graphics slot required for this card, your 300 watt power supply in the Inspiron 570 desktop will not work. You will need a power supply of at least 400 watts with a 6-pin PCI-E power connector and a minimum of 20 Amp on the +12 volt rail.

Description say GDDR5 but the box says GDDR3, which is it?

The box is for the GeForce GT 740 SC, a completely different card. I figure that ordering this will get you what it says in the title and description, so it should be GDDR5. Have caution, though, since non-matching product description and pictures are rarely a good sign.
