Deep Water

This is an amazing adventure story from Watt Key. I would highly recommend this book to middle school and high schoolers who are fans of the Hatchet books. It is fast paced and full of surprises.

Great reading-we learned a lot about scuba diving in the Gulf of Mexico and the dangers of being unprepared. The “in the water” segment dragged on for a few too many pages but then it got to a very interesting climax. We read 2 other Watt Key books and they are also great! Good for Middle, High school and adult readers.

I liked how at the end of every chapter I had to read another one cause it just made want to know what would happened in the next!great story will recommend this book!!!

Was reading this book as a possible for a reading competition for 5th-8th graders for my school. I liked the look at an uncommon "sport" (scuba diving) The "in the water" survival part sometimes dragged but not to where you lost interest. I liked how the main characters worked thru their differences to help each other and ultimately see thru the facades we sometimes show the world to form a friendship.

I’m a former scuba diver and live in Alabama. I’ve scuba dived in the Gulf of Mexico many times. All my dives have been without incident. Thank goodness. I’m currently writing a book where my two characters dive in the gulf leaving from Panama City, Florida.

I like the book on how it ends and it was very fearful! Easy to imagine it in your head. The happy ending was heart touching!

i thout the book was wrighten awesomely. all of the characters were cool. i loved that it was a survival story. end of story was very unique

Another great adventure story, this time set on the Alabama coast. Get ready to follow Julie on a scuba dive for her life. Watt Key is a wonderful southern story teller.

Realistic story, excitement and survival, friendship and relationships, and well-written. My son aged 12 loved it!
