Be careful picking your size, NO RETURNS
The company said to move up to the larger size if you were borderline. I don't recommend. I like to have a reasonable amount of compression and sizing up made this impossible because the Velcro does not extend far enough on the rib belt with the larger size. So, I put it on and it is barely providing support. Since there are no returns, and I get why, I'm stuck with a rib belt that does not fit properly. And I DID FOLLOW DIRECTIONS! I think it would be a nice belt if it fit.

Good value, supportive, abrasive fabric
Even though I'm returning mine, it's still a good brace for the price range. The fabric is too abrasive for why I purchased it (post op chest), but if I didn't have that complaint with it I probably would've been happy with it. I was 'safe' in the size I ordered and I probably could've gone a size down, but it otherwise was more comfortable than the brace they sent me home with and didn't feel flimsy at all. I just need something more sensitive to post operative needs and this 100% requires padding between it and skin/bandages, which would've injured healing scars in my personal case.

Great Product
I purchased this a year and a half ago and it has served us very well. I had a rib problem when I ordered this and I wore it constantly for weeks. It really helped me. It gave me support and that helped ease the pain. It probably aided in the healing as well.My husband who has back problems that only worsen over the years. Uses it now each time he goes outside to walk around. He also has a similar item with the vertical supports in it for sitting. He finds the all elastic rib support to be what he needs outside puttering about a little.I am going to order another one. Today we both wanted to wear it at the same time. They wash up really well. I use cold water and don't put it in the dryer. A good wash revitalizes it,usually. It is starting to look a bit tired. I will see if washing restores it again. If not, it has done its job. We are very satisfied with the support and comfort it has given us.

A good brace for the money!!!
I cracked a rib and purchased the belt to make sleeping a little easier. It's pretty inexpensive and does the job fairly well. The only negative I have is that it does like to curl up a bit (this probably depends on your body shape). I'm not sure if anything can be done this. Adding vertical ribs might make it uncomfortable. My solution is to wash and dry it daily then put it on at night. If you need to wear it during the day then probably buy two because it's still pretty cost effective.

41-42" chest go medium
This is a good quality product. However sizing is important. If you buy too large you can't make it tight enough, because there is only so much velcro. Unlike some wraps where you can attach it to itself at any point, this has a small velcro area at one end, and at the other a good 8" of velcro. This is your tightening "range". My chest is 41" and a large is almost too big. I run out of velcro if I want it really tight. Don't get me wrong it stays on and I would rate it fairly tight. If I had to do it again I would buy medium.

light in weight item like this I can't see a restocking fee as appropriate
The item was as described and was received on time. I needed to return this item for it was covered by insurance. I am however unhappy that I couldn't return it at my own cost of shipping because I know it would've been less expensive than what they charged. I might understand that a restocking fee be assessed, which should be made as clear as it is to be a Prime included product, but for a small, light in weight item like this I can't see a restocking fee as appropriate

How to use the size guide...
So the item it's self will offer comfort for ribs but use the sizing on the guide as athat a guide, the measurements on the guide are "unstretched" so in the UK, if you're a large T shirt (42" chest) their size guide indicates XL, go for a L or M if your 40" chest or lower. Or buy extra velco and have move adjustment.

Awful. Cheap feel and performs badly . Also impossible to return
The brace it self is soft material so it will not hols shape when it is being used - several other designs have stiffening plates in them which is a good idea. The problem is that it will not hold well because it uses 2cm/ 1" think line of Velcro where as other models have 6" sticking to 6 ". It would not stay tight and I tried to return it saying it was not fit for purpose but they refused to accept my return. It really is an ultra cheap effort of trying to mimic a medical band.

Chocolate teapot of the first order
What a useless and ill conceived item. Offers no support to itself, so god knows what it's supposed to do for your ribs. The second you let go after fitting it it curls up and rolls down, then as soon as you move it flip flops down your body like a drunken slinky. If ithad some sort of support built in at intervals along its length to prevent curling it might work and if it was cheap I'd just think it was my own fault for being a skinflint, but it's neither so........... Do yourself a favour and avoid this rubbish.
